This is a very good dance club because of three main reasons. No cover charge, Very good crowd and very good DJ. I have seen this from 2016 till 2021 (except the in between peak Covid years) and it maintained the above three and hence a very good one.
It's okay. It's a dance club. Mostly EDM so know that but it’s a lot of great DJs. Always have a good time here. It can get very crowded (as it does often) here but it doesnt get as rowdy as some of the other clubs close to it.There's no cover charge, so that's great.Alchemy is a nice spot actually. Lots of space indoors, outside on the patios and in their "backyard" covered tent area.They have added lights. Lights and lasers are always fun.It's pretty until late into the last two, three hours. Then it gets litty city. But, if you like EDM and wanna go catch or throw out a vibe, you'll have fun here.They host real great djs on the weekly and host special shows from time to time. Check out their social platforms and get plugged in. If edm is your thing, you'll love it here.I have read the bad reviews and, honestly, I come here on the regular. I just don’t see it. If someone gets thrown out, they were asking for it. It’s glenwood south, the epicenter of drunk kids 21-25.
Alchemy is the place to be if you are planning to have a crazy fun time dancing. I love hitting their dance floor and dancing to the tunes of the amazing Dj s who play there. The staff is extremely wam, friendly and accommodating. I couldn’t believe when I had lost a precious personal belonging and the staff most graciously found it, kept it, informed me about it and carefully returned it to me. I will go there again and again and so should you.??
Alchemy is a good club to go and have a fun time. But on the other hand they have the tendency to overcharge you or add in an extra tip on transaction without authorization. This has happen twice to me and by all means tried getting in touch with the manager but it seems that he doesn’t care.
My wallet was stolen out of my purse at this bar on 4/24/22. My friend also had her phone stolen the same evening.I should have read the reviews about theft and pick-pocketing and not gone. The bartenders and security staff were very unhelpful throughout the entire situation.Please do not go here, your things will be stolen / you will be pick-pocketed.
Becareful using your credit card here. The last time I went here I noticed the bartender over charged my card. It was only a few extra dollars so i didnt make a big deal about it when i saw the transaction the next day but it happened. I assume they just think people are too drunk to notice if they add a few extra dollars in tips to your card. So check your credit card unless you like getting your money stolen.
I came to dance and they gave me dance music. I needed to feel the bass in my face, they threw in the lights for free. I needed a drink and they gave me $6 Lagunitas.Show up early and let the dance floor build up around you. The dj had an incredible set and kept the crowd moving.Obviously the crowd trends younger but if you come to dance you’ll fit right in.
Such a fun time with my girl friends. The last time me and my friends were here it was for a batchlorette party and thr bouncer bought us all drinks to celebrate.Everytime I go everyone it is so nice.For more recommendations follow @raleighunlocked on Instagram
I’ve never felt the need to write a negative review about any place I’ve ever been to, only positive ones. However, I wish I could give this place negative stars. DO NOT GO! My boyfriend got his new phone stolen right out of his pocket. Unless you want your valuables taken from you, never step foot in this place ever. Very disturbing that there are lots of similar posts to mine.
Excessively violent, unreasonable bouncing staff. Escalating to a chokehold and choking someone out twice, especially if they are nonviolent, is 100% illegal and able to be prosecuted as assault and battery. This establishment is clearly negligent in their hiring and training practices, and seems to have some shady activities going on in the background, given the lack of interest by police in intervening here.
