There aren't words. It was beyond incredible from the moment we walked in to the moment we walked in I wish I could give it more than 5 stars. And our server Molly was exceptional!

Good service, good food. We really enjoyed our fried green tomatoes with mozzarella cheese and the shrimp and grits. ? The hostess was very personable too. Prices were inline with this type of restaurant, but eating out is much more expensive ?? post Covid. Overall, a good dining experience.??

My wife and I held our son's Rehearsal Dinner at The Chelsea, and we had a great experience! Chris and his staff were so attentive to our needs, and our 80+ guest raved about the buffet! I could not make my mind up which was my favorite, Shrimp & Grits, Beef Tenderloin with Cabernet Demi Glace, or Brown Butter Barbecue Chicken. It was all fantastic, and it will be remembered for a lifetime. Thank you!

Since i came down here in April I have been doing the "Tour de Cuisine" of the town. When available I have had the Shrimp and Grits I am up to 4 different versions and his is the best. A little fancier than some, but the best treatment overall of the dish The restaurant has booth and table seating and is very well appointed. The service was excellent and waitress was attentive.

Fresh food ideas here and a welcoming and bright space to socialize. It can be a bit tight here when busy but not badly so. Food is excellent. I had the grilled mahi sandwich and loved every bite. Fairly wide draft beer selection here as well and decent service.

Liked the brown chicken a lot, small portion which suited me. Comes with grits of all things. My buddy had a roast beef dip sammich and loved it. Fast service, nice grouping of seafood , reasonable in a beautiful part of town. Do go, don't mind the lawyers eating next to you, the courthouse is across the street. Bob Ross

The Chelsea managed to squeeze us in as walk-ins on a hot Saturday afternoon in June. The place was jammed but we were seated promptly in a nice booth with a view of their impressive bar. The main dining room is large with a high ceiling so their was a great deal of ambient noise but the booth was set up so we could sit side-by-side and converse comfortably. I had their daily special of country-fried chicken and biscuit with gravy. My wife had blueberry pancakes. The food was wonderful, absolutely delicious and definitely fresh and house made. Although the prices are somewhat on the high end, the quality of the food and the charming funkiness of the restaurant justifies the cost. Note that we paid just as much in different New Bern restaurant for mediocre food and service so this is a deal in comparison.

Had stuffed mushrooms, crab soup, and stuffed grouper. All was excellent. The environment was noisy.

I came in alone. Went to be seated right next to another table, like right on top. I asked to be moved over to side with me being alone. No worries. Finally got to order my dinner and the waitress started to walk away. I wanted a salad. I had that put on the order. Salad never came. Waited for about 25-30 minutes for food. Asked them to take off the salad. Great flavor on my dinner but the scallops seemed a little chewy/overcooked. I paid and left. Kind of felt like I was not noticed while I was there. However the young man server was as very engaged with his tables and even talked to me twice. Maybe have him train other servers?

Quaint restaurant in the center of New Bern. Crab Soup was some of the best I had ever eaten. The crab cake and the seared tuna were excellent and cooked to perfection. Highly recommend.
