My husband and I moved to New Bern a couple of months ago and live in walking distance. He doesn’t get weekends off often so we decided to check it out today. I looked online and the food looked great and seems like an overall fun atmosphere. We arrived a little after 2:00 and we were told they would be closing in 30 minutes. There was no food being served and although my husband found a beer to drink quickly, I was disappointed there was not a lot of options for someone who doesn’t drink beer. I couldn’t find the alcohol menu online so was hoping for more drink options. If there are more options that she said is on the board, I apologize. In 15 minutes that we sat there 4 more people arrived. It’s a Sunday and I would imagine it’s a bit slower but as my husband was paying for his beer the lady mentioned everyone is at the beach and that’s where she wants to be as well. I understand shutting down early but I think that should have been posted on Facebook because we wouldn’t have bothered to go had we known.
Super cool place, I went for comedy night and it was alright, the comedians aren't gonna be Netflix special tier so do go into it expecting that but still decent. There's a jukebox app that lets you request music and their tap menu is super great and covers all bases whether you like stouts, IPA, sours or even ciders and wines! Staff were pretty attentive and kind as well! Also a huge front yard with games and picnic tables that are well lit even past dark.
I had given you 3 stars based on what my Uber riders were telling me you asked me to check you out so I did .1st impressions when I pull up it looks like a strip club inside looks like a glorified barn that's been turned into a bar . Everything is new it looks new but Doesn't look like there was a whole lot of money invested in It. The whiskey barrels look like the most expensive thing in there and that's only if you bought them finished and didn't finish them yourself. Reclaimed wood and sheets of galvanized steel . Not much thought on interior design. Or lack of creativity or budget. Looks as if a handyman decided to open a bar . But I guess drunks don't really care. I can do the same thing in my garage. Looking at where you're located and what the outside of your place looks like I would not bring my family to eat. Nor would I come with my wife for any drinks Parking lot is large Cenozoic limestone rock and it chews up and cuts your tires when driving on it. Parking lots not very big and it's cramped if you have 2 or 3 pick up trucks in there. I would go toMj's Or Spunky McDoogle's or triple play. I don't like leaving reviews. I was giving you the benefit of the doubt. Why you said you asked me to come check you out and I did and this is what I thought of You're place.
I loved this place. We stopped in on Tuesday for a few drinks and something to munch on. We ordered the pulled pork nachos. They were so good we ordered more! Great drink selection. Natasha was great!
Small selection. But good beers! Love the Carolina brewery chapel hill toffee stout
Great venue but service is horrendous! No waiters two bartenders ! Piles of left over food and plates all over the tables! You must wait on a line to get a drink! It could be good but they need major staffing!
Some days I would recommend this place and some days I would not. Half the time the bartenders are so overwhelmed they can’t keep up. When you guys have a band or a DJ it’s nice but you refuse to move the tables up front so we can dance. Even when it wasn’t busy So I haven’t been back in a while because if I hear a nice band or the DJ is nice I like to dance and so do my friends that came with me so we have not been back in quite a while
Been to tap that a few times. They just weren’t up to par last night. The staff seemed overwhelmed with the volume of people, which isn’t their fault. There was 3 bartenders. This comment isn’t meant to be mean but they need a new sound person. The sound was so off tonight. Loud doesn’t mean good sound. The woman who was signing her voice was beautiful I could occasionally hear it, but the sound was awful. We left after one drink and there was many people outside complaining about the sound last night too. Hope they see this and evaluate this review because it isn’t meant to be mean just informative.
waitress/ bartender was rude. served burnt Italian flatbread. got irate when I returned it.
Loads of space inside and outside. Great food to go with great beer.
