Really great find for lunch. We stopped in town on our way home on a road trip looking for lunch. We had a variety of lunch items, and a kid personal pizza, and side Caesar salads. The food was really good. You could tell it was home made and fresh. I love lasagna and theirs did t disappoint.Restaurant was clean, staff super friendly, and reasonably priced menu.

Since I moved to New Bern, I have been looking for the perfect calzone. It's been a chore as many places confuse a calzone with a stromboli. Crust is too spongy or contents are tasteless. So I found Savage's and my search was over. Doug is an artist and every calzone I've bought has been identical and consistent with the last. Love the sausage/pepperoni combo and every so often when I want some kick, I order the sausage/jalapeño calzone. Sauce is always amazing. Picture shown is missing 25%

If you are looking for Italian style pizza, this is the place. Everything is delicious. Pizza baked the way it should be. Caprese was different and delicious. Service was good. Price could have been cheaper (Pizza is poor man's food) but no higher than anyplace else.

Crispy, wood-fired pizza crust along with great ingredients make for some of the best pizza in town. Large menu selection here and a nice indoor dining area. We had fast service and enjoyed a perfect lunch here. Highly recommend!

Philly cheese steak pizza was so tasty with a good amount of topping which is usually rare for a Philly. We were walking around New Bern we saw the sign and walked in on a whim. 3 of us got different pizzas and not disappointed at all, our waitress Nashyia was very attentive during our whole time there. Thank you for the great service and food

Good New York-style pizza. Crispy crust. Waitstaff was friendly and attentive. Enjoyed a simple Caesar salad and pepperoni pizza.

Honestly I would have to say one of the better pizza's I have had. I am not a huge pizza person but when i have it, i want it to have some serious flavors. And Savage Wood Burning Pizzeria is a 7 of 10 on the sauce having flavor but surely was a 8 of 10 over all on the pizza. I enjoyed my pizza VERY MUCH!!! The pesto was spot on and delicious i could eat it by itself. Kalamata olives instead of black gave it more punch. The whole menu gave tons of options. When or if i ever visit New Bern again i will definitely stop by.

What a neat little pizzeria just slightly off the beaten path in historic New Bern.Built in what seems to be an old house, the service was good and the food was great. The bruschetta, the pizza, the garlic knots were fantastic. I ordered too much and ate most of it.I find it nearly impossible to find pizza I don’t like, but Savage’s really exceeded my expectations.A great spot, come check it out - you won’t be disappointed.

A great lunch for a great day! Came to New Bern to go to the farmer’s market and stopped here on a beautiful day for pizza. It was excellent! Good sauce and a nice crisp crust!

So I took my girls out to eat here the other night. As we were leaving the restaurant my 9 year old told the cashier and 2 of the waitresses that she planned to give them a 5 star rating. She said that the food was delicious and service wonderful. My girls were happy that there were kids books to read rather than coloring books. I have to say my 6 year old and 14 year old agree with her and so do I! Look forward to our next visit!
