After a long, hard day of working in the sun, I stopped in to the Sake Hibachi Sushi & Bar. It was early on a Thurs evening, so no surprise that I was seated quickly. A polite young man then took my drink and appetizer order within minutes of sitting down. Again, a good sign which made me feel welcome (a rarity for a guy who travels solo and often dines alone). Then, it was the long ignore as tables around me, two of which were seated after me, received some service of some kind. It's not like I ordered a rare sushi roll... it was gyoza! As I was looking for my very absent server to ask about my appetizer, it arrived after nearly 20 minutes. No explanation, just a perfunctory if not snide, "Sorry for the wait." I paid my tab and walked next door to Smithfields Chicken & Bar-B-Q. I don't expect anything will change from this review and, truth be told, an establishment like this one doesn't care much about the opinion of one guy. So, here's a note to others out there that may be in the same boat as me. Go somewhere else!
This was the absolute worst Hibachi experience. Our waiter was rude, completely un-energetic and messed up all of our orders. Apparently you have to ask for Sake now and he doused me in it. I was so excited to try this place out. Cost him a $100 tip. New Yorkers tip well. If you go here, ask for Sey. He was outstanding!
Fantastic teppanyaki! Our chef was great. And although the restaurant doesn’t use garlic, he went out of his way to get some for us and cooked everything with it. Delicious!!
Had the seafood boil. The seafood was good, the seasoning was good. The seafood boil for 2 people came with 1 small piece of potato each about the size of a golf ball, and a small piece of corn. Potatoes and corn are cheap people, Plenty of shrimp but we both left hungry after a $60 dinner.
We come here often because we receive good service and the food is so good. Each chef adds their own flare to the flavor, so it's the same food each time, but not exactly. We usually eat here with a large group including several kids from younger to older. We keep going back! The seafood buckets are a favorite of ours. See you there!
Good food, good service and lots of choices. They offered a variety of sushi options, hibachi and added to their menu (2021/2022) a seafood boil with a variety of items. Their service is friendly and fast and food was good and well portioned. Place is very large with lots of seating accommodations at the hibachi tables, dining and sushi areas. Place was kept up and clean. Would recommend giving them a try!
We visited while on vacation and it was disappointing. Our server was not very good, very inattentive. I can understand if she was new and inexperienced, but regardless she didn't seem very well trained. The sushi was pretty good and the hibachi part of the restaurant seemed cool. The cocktail menu seemed way too big, my drink didn't even taste like it had alcohol in it. Definitely room for important.

Decent food, very good sushi, nice atmosphere, and friendly staff.
If I could give zero stars I would. I waiter 40 minutes for the waitress to bring me cold food. She has yet to refill my tea. And she is nowhere to be found. If I wanted cold rice, I'd have ordered sushi. Terrible service. Less than mediocre food. I won't be back.
