We really like this place but the jazz music renditions on the dock might not be to everyone's taste.

Beautiful place to celebrate a birthday. Staff was outstanding and food was good. Was surprised at the high prices and petite portions.

We went to Persimmons for a Sunday brunch, having fond memories of brunch there 3 or4 years ago. Our recollection was correct. We were welcomed on entering and shown to a wonderful window table with a beautiful view of the water, and the boats coming and going. Our server was superb, filled us in on the specials, served us with a smile and hand answers to all our questions. We both had brunch specials, and my omelette was the best Ive over had. I also highly recommend their Bloody Mary! It was a great visit and we will return when we're next in New Bern.

We arrived early but our guests arrive late. Persimmons staff were VERY accommodating and helpful and did not try to rush us AT ALL! We were seated at a location we had requested. Service was timely and our server was fun. The food was good; at Persimmons, I expected it to be amazing. It wasn't amazing. But it was good.
Exceptional food and service. Inside acoustics loud, challenging for hearing impaired who use hearing aids.
