Everything was wonderful! Got 2 B-B-Q plates! 1 with mac&cheese and collard greens. Mom got baked beans and slaw! We loved all of it also got Brunswick stew different from what I’m used to but very good!
We got a shrimp burger, white chicken platter. Large mashed potatoes was Not lrg & was cold, fries were soggy and lukewarm, the coleslaw was overly chopped mush and too sweet. chicken was chicken sauce was meh. what else, Banana pudding was basic good. Not worth the $27
I had there flounder sandwich for dinner just before playing Mexican Train dominoes with the Newcomers group. The sandwich was very good and filling, especially with the huge portion of fries that accompanied the sandwich.
This Texan was fortunate to venture into beautiful New Bern, NC and try some of the world famous North Carolina bbq. This place was recommended by several locals. I had the chopped pork and my wife had the spiggy(baked potato). Perhaps Carolina bbq is an acquired taste as there was a line wrapped around the building. The service was excellent and everyone was especially nice, but the food. Oh the food. The bbq tasted like cured dirty dish water. The macaroni was devoid of seasoning and tasted like cheesy plain doughnuts. The hush puppies were okay. My wife didn't finish the potato. We tried adding their hot sauce but that didn't work. Hopefully we get to try another place as one sampling doesn't define an area or a style and anyone can have an off day.
Quick, tasty and easy BBQ. Chicken is fantastic. Sauces are great and service is superb. Stop in and you will quickly be downing some great BBQ. Also available drive thru
Moore's BBQ in New Bern catered my event last night and it was delicious! The driver showed up on time and placed everything where it needed to be! They also included serving tools and plenty of tea and plates!Thank you again!
Everything here is pretty good including the Staff. Why only 3 stars? There is NO option to add cheese to any sandwich. I'm not sure why in modern America there is no option for cheese on a shrimp burger or hotdog, but apparently time has passed this restaurant by and that's no gouda.
A big, nice store. I love it that all the associates are very helpful and friendly. They helped my wife take her order out since she had rotor cuff surgery.
Stopped in for lunch yesterday. Ordered the all white chicken plate with Cole slaw and potato salad & Pepsi to drink. Restaurant hadn't been open long. Dining area nice & clean. Plenty of parking. This store way larger than the one in Winterville. Plenty of tables to chose from. Staff friendly, fast, and professional. Food hot and fresh. Was surprised I received a pad of butter with the plate. Never received butter for the hush puppies in Winterville. The homemade vinegar hot sauce and the Texas Pete a must have! Will be glad to return!
I ordered the BBQ and fried Chicken combo with Brunswick Stew and Mac & cheese while out of town for work. I used door dash and when my order arrived my plate had no BBQ on it. ? I called back to Moores and the lady who helped me sincerely apologized and explained to me how I would need to take care of this issue since I ordered through Door Dash. Not only did the kind people at Moore’s send me the missing bbq but also remade my entire order. The customer service is only out done by the delicious food. ??
