I’m from out of state and I was looking for a local coffee shop to try out. When I arrived I was immediately greeted by the barista. I explained that this was my first time and I needed a coffee that was sweet but also had a good amount of caffeine. He suggested one of their specialty drinks and when I asked if I could get it iced, he was more than happy to accommodate me. They also had a variety of pastries that not only looked fresh but were also aesthetically pleasing. While I waited for my order, the barista made small talk and genuinely seemed interested in how my day was going. I highly recommend this place! Great atmosphere, great service, and the barista’s recommendation was exactly what I was looking for.
I ordered a cake for my wife's birthday cake was good. Cake was beautiful. I had one issue the cake was a little dry. But I definitely will try them again. We all are not perfect I understand that things happen.
Had a tea party for my mother in laws birthday here. They were very accommodating. The desserts and sweets are absolutely delicious. Lovely atmosphere and friendly service A definite must try if you are in the downtown New Bern Area
We were lucky to get in when they were closing and had fabulous praline cheesecake and wine soaked pear tart with delicious espresso selections. Got to taste, then bought macarons. very friendly establishment.

I had a chai tea that was very good and my niece had an iced latte that she said was really good. We shared a fruit tart and a chocolate almond tart and both were good, but we both liked the fruit tart best, it was really good ?. Nice clean place with helpful service. I'm sure we will both be visiting again.
Great sweets and types of coffee in a relaxing home like setting. The staff is pleasant and friendly, always welcoming everyone. This place is highly recommended. While the prices are higher than most spots, the coffee and sweets are high quality ?.
Amazing pastries, not just a bakery! Real, fresh French pastries done to perfection. Possibly the best mocha I have had and totally recommend if you love pastry. It's a little pricey, but trust me, it is so worth the money. This place is about 40 minutes from our home and we will be back very soon. Oh, also a very clean, relaxed and ornate.
Ohhh isn’t this place just the cutest!!!! I wanted to try a new coffee spot and decided on Mayte’s. So glad a did- the staff was so friendly, but let’s talk about the coffee!!!! I got a latte- it was really good! Like the actual coffee brew was good. If you a appreciate a good cup of Joe, I highly recommend.Mayte’s has an assortment for treats and goodies, I got me a few macaroons for my coffee- also highly recommend!!Bottom line, if you are in New Bern please stop by and treat yourself to a nice treat. Also stay a while, the set up is so cute! I plan to be back!- get the macaroons! Gab sent ya♥️
So very good every time I go. Love the espresso/Nutella mix. I always find parking easy. Buying treats to send to my mother in CA.
