So being Italian and growing up on homemade Italian food I was so excited to try La Rosa ...what a disappointment ?. The sauce was very watery . The Brushetta had zero flavor .The meatballs were clearly frozen and not homade Super small portions. The $100 I spent on this meal was a complete waste of my hard earned money. I can say the service was good , but that's all that was good

I had been recommended La Rosa specifically for the Veal - and the reviews are pretty awesome. I booked a reservation online which is simple and user friendly. Upon entering our experience was great - I would NOT recommend soft drinks as the Mountain Dew, Pepsi, and lemonade all tasted watered down. We ordered mozzarella sticks as an appetizer just to appease a picky table - they are frozen and reheated. Nothing like you can’t get from a bowling ally. The veal is sub par, the chicken in the chicken Alfredo had ZERO sear and no seasoning it must have been boiled, and the lasagna was cold to touch, our guest compares it to Stouffers. However the seafood in lobster sauce I would recommend, also the bread they serve is also delicious. When asked about dessert the gentleman did not know his own menu and brought out Carmel cheesecake instead of chocolate, but the table did not send anything back or ask for anything to be removed from the bill. La Rosa’s DID discount the lasagna because it wasn’t eaten and take off two of the the three drinks that were also not drank, we were appreciative. Overall I’m sure this little place does have great items - I just won’t be back to find out what they are.

It was our anniversary-we didn’t mention this to wait staff-food was delicious and brought out timely. We were there right at 5-within an hour the restaurant was full. Great experience! We will def be back!

What a wonderful experience! I can't say enough about how delicious the food is here. Service was outstanding. The timing per dish was perfect. I had the stuffed chicken parmesan with penne pasta. Yummy! My wife and mom had a glass of wine. Both were delicious. The red was dry, but not too dry. The white was sweet, but not too sweet. I don't think this place knows how to make a bad meal. Pricey but well worth it. Enjoy.

A delicious dinner with excellent service. The Seafood La Rosa with lobster sauce was amazing. My sister had the crab cakes and said they were delicious and full of crab meat. My husband had the Veal Parmigiano, real veal! We highly recommend this restaurant.

Exceptional food. An unassuming exterior hides top end Italian cuisine. The food is the star here. The wines were excellent. The fresh bread was very flavorful. Our entire table was impressed by the service and the food. Highly recommended.

Phenomenal. I wish I could give this 6 stars. The food is incredible. Everything tastes like an Italian Gramma made it. Pasta is fresh and just perfect. The service is incredible. Appetizers come fast, salad dressing isade FRESH IN HOUSE. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough. This is the best spaghetti/ Italian food I've had in all of North Carolina!10/10 would recommend. Will return.

My first time dining here. We arrived at 6:30 pm and were promptly seated, drink orders taken at once. Atmosphere is charming and a nice home style feel. Service was spot on-time perfect, the staff friendly and attentive. The food was excellent and fresh and hot. My appetizer was a pasta soup that was very flavorful and yummy. I had my typical go to at any Italian restaurant (Spaghetti and meatballs) and was not disappointed. The sauce perfectly balanced, the meatballs fresh, the spaghetti a perfect al dente . My friend had a sampler of Lasagna, chicken parmesan and fettuccini alfredo. Also well made, hot and fresh. This was an awesome dining experience and the owner greeted us and was very friendly. The prices are reasonable in this era...Highly recommend!

If there is a perfect restaurant experience, this is it. Seated as we entered, drinks we provided quick. The pace for everything else was perfect. Food was delicious and prices reasonable. Clearly one of New Bern’s secrets. Otherwise there would be a line at the door to get in. You enjoy homemade Italian food: this place is for you.

Good Italian food but need to come early like before 6. (Don't recommend veal )
