So not impressed. My friend told them she was allergic to onions when she ordered. When her side salad arrived she thought there might be onions in the vinaigrette. She went back to the counter and asked. There are so she asked if they had a different dressing, she was offered ranch which contains onion powder, so she declined. She was then told there were no other options. While eating her undressed salad her eyes turned red and puffy, we thought possibly the onion powder from my food was causing it. She told a passing staff member what had happened letting them know the guy at the counter didn't seem to care that he had given her something she was allergic to. Turns out he's the owner. The staff member then came running back over and took her salad explaining that the couscous in it also had onions in it. That explains the eyes. The staff member brought her a new undressed salad with no couscous. Thank goodness for this staff member because the owner was completely unconcerned about the fact that she had a serious allergy and even knowing about it he served her two items that contained this ingredient. We sat there longer than we had planned to make sure her reaction didn't get worse before she returned to work. She did have some irritation in her throat, but the benadryl seems to be working. She must not have consumed any actual onion just stuff that it touched, again thank goodness. If you have any kind of allergy I would definitely stay away from this place.
I decided to try this restaurant today for lunch as I’ve seen good reviews. I WILL NOT GO BACK NOR RECOMMEND TO ANYONE! Before ordering I ask the gentleman at the register if the Cuban lunch special had onion/onion powder anything to do with onion and he said no so that is what I ordered. When my lunch was brought to my table it came with a salad and house dressing, me knowing most house dressings are Italian persay I decided to ask for a different dressing they gave me the option of only ranch. Not a big deal I’m used to this and ranch having onion powder I declined. As I kept eating my lunch my throat started bothering me and I stopped one of the waitresses to ask once again about onion being an ingredient in my lunch and she quickly told me to give her my plate as the salad has cuscus and it’s made with onion!!! Once I told her I had informed the gentleman at the register of my allergy she went and spoke with him and he made no attempt to acknowledge me, my issue or anything about it and to top it off HE’S THE OWNER!!! Had I had a severe reaction I would have had to get an injection! I’m blown away the owner was more worried about the next dollar going in his register than a customers health due to his negligence!!!!
I wanted to order a typical breakfast plate, nothing fancy ... Eggs, bacon and toast. I was told I couldn't get that. I ended up with a sandwich that was smaller than a cup saucer. I didn't feel welcome there, I will not return.
I was served RAW Salmon. I ordered the grilled salmon (it's not actually grilled). I watched the cashier (Melissa) who didn't wash her hands prepare the salmon in the microwave oven to the left of the register after handling cash transactions. I normally order take out, which I had but my fish was raw and I came back and reordered. Melissa was very rude and my lunch was prepared incorrectly.. they remade the grilled salmon which came with a bed of greens along with watermelon, green beans, black beans, cheese, peppers, red onion, croutons, etc. I received just salmon under greens and nothing else the 2nd time around. My ordered was rushed and the fish was raw again so I refused to go back. Melissa never apologized when I told her that mistakes happen but its important to make sure fish is cooked all the way or it can make people very sick! She had nothing to say. I'm pregnant and was very upset that I was served raw fish that could not only harm me but my baby. I would not recommend this place to anyone. I asked to speak to the manager which Melissa told me was Kirk but she told me he is only there for open and close. Customer service was very poor along with quality of the food. I was very disappointed. I would not eat here for health/safety reasons along with sanitation (not washing hands) moving forward.
I read the recent reviews and have to say our 1st time experience here was wonderful. The pancake came with fruitcup and we ordered a side of sausage. It was very tasty, the pancakes were fluffy (see my accompanying pics). The Egg Special was especially delicious with the spinach wrap. The order came out quickly and the staff was very friendly. The variety of coffee hit the spot. We both enjoyed reading the various free magazines and local newspaper. A nice break instead of staring at our cellphones - Lol :-)
Lovely small family owned business. Beautiful case with breakfast sweets.Bacon egg and cheese croissant worth the time to get fresh and local.
If the food was half as good as described by menu it would be one of the best places to eat in town. Maybe just an off day for cook I’m gonna give them another shot… eventually one the bright side the staff was very friendly and outgoing
I am beyond disgusted with this place. My office has regularly ordered from here at minimum, once a week. Now we have heard from several people that their customer service was horrible & we dismissed that bc the food was always great, fresh, and hot. Today was the first day we had a problem with the order. We always get morning bagels w/bacon, egg, tomato, and herb cheese. It has always been given on a plain or everything bagel. Today they gave it on a cinnamon raisin bagel and on my bagel, the bacon was undercooked. I called them, the lady I spoke to didn’t even let me talk. She interrupted me and told me the bagel is all they had and they never undercook food. I told her a cinnamon raisin bagel with HERB cheese, bacon & egg is gross and she said she’ll get a manager then hung up the phone on me. I called again, no answer. I called 20 minutes later, I told the guy what happened and he just said “ok”. I said I want to speak w/ a manager and he hung up the phone. I called again, and the SAME guy answered and told me that I talked to someone else and again stated I was wrong about the bad order. I asked if this is how they treat good customers and he said “well is this how you treat employees by abusing them”. Completely uncalled for since I was not yelling but simply frustrated after being hung up on, interrupted, and told I was wrong about saying the order was bad. They didn’t even attempt to rectify it or just simply say “Im sorry”. Our weekly business will be taken elsewhere which is a shame because all of us really prefer our money spent at a local business. We will never go back as a group or individually.
I was prepared to love this place. Ordered the Harvest Casserole. It was good but it was served in a bowl the size of a small cereal bowl, and it contained perhaps a little more than a cup of casserole. For $12.95, I would expect a larger serving, especially since it's mostly pasta. Very disappointing. If that's the regular serving size for that price, then it isn't worth the money. Also found a long hair on my plate of salad (we both have very short hair). Yuck. My companion's meatloaf burger was good, but not spectacular, and reasonably priced.
Great service, great food. Different breakfast variations to savor at reasonable prices.
