Got the Country Fried Chicken and it was great! Was so excited to start eating I forgot to take a picture at first.
Food was great! Waitress/ bartender was ideal. Revelation on back of menu... refreshing. We'll definitely be back!
Excellent service and good food!! Peaches was our server and was amazingly attentive!! Food was very hot and fresh! It's very close to where we visit our 92 year old Grandmother and she had a very good experience so we will definitely be back. I had the seafood basket which was great, my mother had the pot roast which she loved, Granny had the shrimp basket which was more than she could eat so she had leftovers and my partner had smothered chicken which was good but felt could've maybe had a Lil more seasoning or flavor..overall a very good experience! The basket of homemade chips was AMAZING so highly recommend! Our billl for all 4 meals with the chips appetizer and beverages was approx. $80 and we left a $20 tip..great experience!!
Peaches was our server and she was AMAZING! She had several tables but never made us feel ignored. She was very attentive and polite. The food was good too! The house made chips were delicious!
Good food. Need more waitresses. Good apple beer new brewed in North Carolina. I can't remember the name but I liked it. They need napkins on the table so the waitress doesn't have to run after him A1 sauce on the table ketchup on the table. Food was good I enjoyed it thanks!
After this experience Carolina Grill seems to me the "worst restaurant in City Of New Bern" here's why. My wife, kids and four other guess walked into the restaurant about 4:00 Pm not during rush hour, and were greeted by a rude waiter who asked if we made reservations, after informing her of the number of guest. I replied "I didn't know I needed to" she then told me the air condition was out in the back eating area. I understood her dilemma, however, what she did next I'm still remain puzzling to me. she tried to make us sit in an area too small, when we asked her if we could move, she said I will try and put you over there pointing to another area in the restaurant that happen to belong to another waitress. she put two tables together which held 8 people. After arranging that table, the waitress responsible for taking care of us turned her back on us. coupled with that, she seem to have a posture that was not friendly. she went on to care for the other people in her assigned area and continued to ignore our presence. one person from my group asked her "who is our waiter/waitress" she shrugged her shoulders, we sat and waited for over 20 minutes and we were never ask what we wanted to drink or even given a menu to look at, the Waitresses were disputing about who was going to serve us because we were relocated in the restaurant. Finally after about 25 minutes or so we started talking among, after watching several customers finish their meals, pay, and leave the restaurant. We also decided to leave as well. In an attempt to rectify the incident we tried calling the restaurant to speak to the manager and we were asked what did we want and placed on hold and no one came to answer answer the phone. My wife and I are both disable Veterans who served this country with honor. In addition, we have travel the world eaten in many different venues, but we have never been treated this way before. I do not like to play the race card, that's used too much in my opinion, I don’t know if they have a problem with Black people or not However, that’s the worst I’ve ever been treated since I’ve been in North Carolina or anywhere. I've had many meals a this same restaurant without a problem. My only regret was I was not allowed to talk to the manage, thanks Google review for this outlet.
Man I swear this place is GREAT!! The best food I've had in a very long time from a restaurant, if not the best I've ever had. No complaints! Food and service was absolutely amazing!!
This place used to be better. We went last week and the prices have gone up and the quality and quantity have gone down dramatically. The shrimp basket came with 6 shrimp that tasted like rubber. It was overcooked and very likely frozen. Service was also lacking. There were only a few tables there at the time we were eating so though were not busy. I have no intention of ever eating there again. Would not recommend especially their seafood.
The BEST! The seafood is what we like the best to eat. The service depends on the server as it seems that they have a lot of new staff.at this stage of the pandemic.Jordan is AMAZING and leaves no stone unturned to satisfy the customer. She is bright and cheery and doesn't hesitate to share suggestions with her customers.All in all this is our GO TO restaurant in the New Bern area.Bob and Mary Wilson
Good food. Good service. Maybe a little pricey but not too bad. Good but somewhat limited menu. Example: Sign says steak & seafood but only have 1 steak (ribeye). Will give back. Wish they were open for breakfast.
