This place is amazing!!! Food is outstanding!!! Service is on point!!! Price is right!!! The only complaint is the wait. That is how good it is. Have to remember that good things come to those who wait.
We went to this restaurant because we have heard that the breakfast was very good. My wife and I ordered scrambled eggs with bacon and French toast. When we placed the order the waitress asked us if we wanted cheese in our eggs but, did not tell us that it would cost more. The food was good but, only gave them 4 stars because of the up charge that we not told about. Good breakfast, good service. Picked up a muffin on the way out for later.
Excellent place for breakfast if you're ever in downtown New Bern. It's a popular place so unless you come right when they open, prepare to wait.I ordered the chicken and waffles. Huge portion; the chicken was seasoned well.My friend ordered the Farmers Wife with the grilled cinnamon roll. Yum! Try it if you're looking for something different.Our other friend ordered the biscuits and gravy which you could easily split with someone.
We came here for breakfast while staying in New Bern. It's a very nice place about half way up the street. The baked goods looked superb and the breakfast was excellent. Also good coffee. We shall be back on our next visit.
This is a GREAT lunch spot. The chicken and waffles were the best I’ve had. Their butter syrup is also super good.Of you haven’t tried this place, you definitely should!!
This place seems a little overrated. The food was okay and the service was fine. It’s not anything I’d rave about and probably not anywhere I’d return to. Very few vegetarian options too.
In the heart of town. Old historical area. Love all the shops and places along this street Bakers is a nice setting and atmosphere. They are only open till 2:00 pm each day. The menu is great with a big variety of breakfast and lunch options. My wife had a meat lovers omelet. I had the beef tips with greens and mashed potatoes and gravy. I also got the squash casserole. Huge portions! The bakery is awesome with gigantic cinnamon rolls, etc etc. The service was excellent!

We went to Baker's Kitchen three times during my visit to New Bern this April. The staff was attentive and very friendly. The food had generous portions and very tasty. Baker's Kitchen is within easy walking distance of several hotels and short-term rentals, making it convenient. I would definitely visit them again when in New Bern!
Nice atmosphere. Friendly staff. I Ordered Chicken Fried Steak and got a breaded breast of chicken... Didn't except that. Visited a second time and asked for the same, only, steak this time. It was the traditional CFS but was very bland and so was their gravy. No flavor. They have a variety of plates and possibly good desserts but not sure I will return.
