First time for everything if I could give negative stars I would. We were excited to try this place after looking online at the menu. The hostess was nice. Our waitress told us she forgot us so after we put our order in we waited 30 minutes for drinks and didn't have our appetizer. I went to the bar to put in my Martini order thinking the waitress might have forgot that too but when I looked at the bar I saw the bartender preparing it. I happened to ask the manager about it and she did come to the table and apologized and said she took something off the bill and gave us a gift card. Literally our food was dropped and we were not checked on after we had to find another waitress to ask our waitress to bring our bill twice. Then our waitress finally came over with the bill and tried to explain it when I asked for the manager she never came. It seemed like they were avoiding our table for some reason and that was unacceptable. They obviously don't care. The food was not good either after all that. The bbq chicken nachos were ok but the chicken tasted boiled and had no seasoning. I got the smothered chicken and it was tasteless, my daughter's steak was overcooked. The fries were ok. Do not not waste your time or money coming here.

Had a great in-person experience sitting at the bar. Pictured: cobb salad with shrimp and side of mac and cheese. The salad and ranch were great quality and very very tasty! Fast and friendly service from the bartender.Take out experience: ordered the same salad about a week later for lunch and got maybe 2 handfuls of wet, wilted, iceberg lettuce. Will definitely be going in-person again!

Horrible service, not sure what happened - waited well over 30 mins for beer & was given the excuse the bar was backed up. Now going on over an hour and a half since being seated & still no wings or salad - given the new story that the kitchen has over 40 tickets - dining room is Fairly empty & there appears to be no shortage of servers or door greeters. Everyone has been promptly seated right away. Will not return sadly, because this used to be a great spot for a meal!

Ordered Philly Cheese Steak with tater tots, The tater tots were not hot. The Philly Cheese Steak didn't have much flavor and was smaller than expected. Competitors offer this sandwich at a lower price and the serving size is about 25% larger than Hickory Tavern. Atmosphere is good but for a night that wasn't busy the service was very slow whereas it took longer than expected to receive the entree.

Absolutely terrible. Service, cleanliness and food was sub par at best. When we arrived and looked across the restaurant 50% of the tables were covered in food and plates and no customers in site. The servers were standing chatting by the bar. It took twenty minutes before anyone came to take a drink order. The only reason we stayed was the musician playing was really quite good. Wings were undercooked, and food over salted. When my beer finally arrived the waiter asked if I wanted a straw with it.Everything was off there. Be wary

Sierra gave us amazing customer service. Had suggestions for what to eat and drink. Made sure to ask the chef about our choices. The ribeye was cooked perfect and all sides were great! Ahi tuna app was seared nicely. I’ll be back!

Service has gone from bad to worse to nonexistent. We should have taken a hint when we had to wait to be greeted at the front to be seated because there was no one around. The staff that was there complained they were understaffed. At some point in which I took the picture, there was no staff in the restaurant for a period of 5 minutes. Not even a person behind the bar.Liked going here as a family, but we’re either going to try the other location or find a different restaurant all together.

I used to love this place before covid, but now it's unrecognizable. It took 1hr 45 min to dine at 645pm.The nachos were cold and toppings sparse, the burger was dry as a puck (ordered medium rare), and the Cesar salad was red and so dry it tasted like paper. My fiance couldn't finish her burger because of how overcooked it was. We didn't dare send it back because it took over an hour to get. This is the second time I've had this issue. The quality is simply not there. I understand having to train new staff, but when the food quality degrades for this long there is just no excuse.

This was my husband's and I first dining experience at Hickory Tavern. We received great service, and the establishment provides indoor and outdoor covered seating. They have a vast selection of alcoholic beverages with typical food options. We ordered lemon pepper wings as an appetizer along with steak and blackened shrimp tacos. It was delicious. We paired our tacos with brussel sprouts and sweet potato fries, tasty. Now, let's get into the dessert... Listen, those cookies were so so good. They offer daily specials after 4 p.m., and everything is reasonably priced.

The only thing I ordered that was good was the pow pow shrimp appetizer. My entrée was the Tavern burger with fries and a strawberry margarita. Neither was worth saying a good review. My fries were cold the burger was so bland and the margarita seemed like syrup on ice(their blender was broken cause i originally asked for a frozen strawberry margarita). Lastly, the wait time was ridiculous, but I remained patient, however the people at the table beside us left cause of the long wait.
