I've stopped ordering from Bawarchi a year back after it's sudden drop in hygeine ratings so wanted to give it a try again hoping things would have changed by now. Chicken is like Bata slipper(Telugu movie reference lol) and stale, rice is not boiled well - it is very likely they gave me atleast 2 days old food
I ordered boneless chicken biriyani and mutton chukka and neither of them were good enough. I think this guys should realize that there are many Indian restaurants nearby so competition is really high here and we have other places to go. Just a friendly reminder before no one orders from here.
This used to be a great place but it seems like the ownership has changed. The cashier was rude like he hated his job.Food was also very mediocre. Paneer tikka masala tasted like it was a dessert, how can this dish be made so sweet? Garlic nan was a bit chewy. And lastly, half of the items they have on the menu weren’t available. Why do you keep them on the menu then?
Food is testy no doubt but we become sick very badly because of their food. We ordered family size biryani for dinner and next day me and my partner both had upset stomach. Not only this I got fever, and continuously feeling nauseous. It's been 6 days I am still having fever and feeling nauseous. I consulted dr and according to her its food virus. I am not ordering food from them again. Very bad experience.Note - I didn't consume any other outside food except theirs. I generally cook my food at home. I even did covid test and it's negative.
I feel Apex branch is better, but the food and amount is good, service is just okay, given pandemic lack of workers, needs some grace here. Good value for money ?
The food is great. I highly recommend trying the Chicken Mandakini— the gravy served with eggs is so delicious!
I am a regular customer to this restaurant. Goat biryani used to be my favorite here. But from past 2 times within 1 month I was highly disappointed with the food that’s been served. In previous take out of goat biryani I was given only fat and small bones with hardly no meat in the biryani. In recent take out same was repeated and this time it’s even biryani rice. They just mixed some curry in white rice and served. For 18$ I felt I deserve much better food than this.Butter naan is freezer naan for sure. Not expected from Bawarchi.Veg Biryani pretty much the same with whole lots of spices, veggies not cooked and just some brown curry rice with loads of spices.Scrapped the whole food.No complaints on prices. Other Desi restaurants charging pretty much the same, but quality matters here.
Natukodiv Curry + Vegetable Rice = Bawarchi Natukodi Pulav….!!! So funny.Natukodi taste like normal halal chicken which they serve. Pulav is just a vegetable rice nothing more than that.Try regular menu item not special items. You will get disappointed for sure.
Food was very disappointing and tasteless. I had eaten Bawarchi food many times before. The prices have gone up but the quality has gone down. We want to support local businesses especially after Covid but the food quality and taste both need to be improved immensely.
This Restaurant is the Place where we go every time when we visit NC. We visit Durham every 3 weeks and we make it point to go there and pick the Food. We like the Bawarchi Special Biryani and it is awesome always . They are maintaining the Taste without fail. I live in VA and we don't have such a Indian Restaurant in VA which maintains the Taste Constituency . I love to go there every time. The 555 Chicken is always Mouth Watering .Thanks to everyone in this place who are serving such a great food. The taste never changes and i think they have magic . I have been eating here for last two years. will continue to eat here in the coming days .
