good food and great service

We checked in @8:22 with hardly no cars in parking lot. We were told 15 min wait with a party of 2! We were finally called to be seated 9:05. The girl apologized for the wait several times. Me and my husband noticed people that came in after us were already sitting down eating before us. I told my husband. He said we should just go ahead and eat since we’re here. I want be back to eat here. People arriving after you and getting served before you is not cool and definitely not a good look. So disappointed

Excellent overall experience!

Good food and friendly people!

The food was phenomenal! I'm definitely too biased to share my experience because I will literally drive out of my way to find a Cracker Barrel. The staff is always super friendly and the portions are always more than I care to eat in one setting, but thank God for to go boxes :)!

I really avoided going since moving here for some reason? ??‍♂️. A friend want to go recently so I did. What was I waiting on? The meatloaf was good, the strawberry mimosa was tasy( should be served in at least a tumbler ?), and the service was kind. I'll go back.

Good service and food. We'd eat again if in the area. We were seated promptly, and our waitress took care of us well.

Shorthanded on staff today. Hostess & wait staff were certainly not friendly, or hospitable. I asked for butter, jelly & biscuits when we placed our drink orders. It took over 12 minutes to get our drinks. Our food was lukewarm when it came out 20 minutes later. I had to ask for biscuits 3 more times, only for waiter to bring 2 cold, hard, lumpy biscuits along with a carryout box to take my lukewarm food 40 miles home to heat in the microwave. The Morganton location used to be a favorite stop, never again. A shift change occurred while we were there. Middle aged & older staff came in & the atmosphere changed immediately to polite, nice wait staff & hostess.

We were called to be sitted at 12:40 . We sit there for 15 minutes no one came to the table. A really sweet lady cleaning the tables got our drinks and finally the waitress came to the table. It took a hour and 20 to get our food..very short staff ..

I would like to start out by saying that I never leave reviews, but after the service and experience I had tonight I thought it was warranted. The area experienced a major winter storm just two days ago with a severe refreeze occurring over night. Due to illness and labor shortages, the DOT was not able to scrape many secondary roads which put pressure on an already short staffed retail and food industry. We went for dinner at Cracker Barrel around 5pm and had a brief wait, but the hostess repeatedly apologized. It was not necessary as we understood how the food industry has been stretched due to worker shortages. A five to ten minute wait is very reasonable. It turns out the entire restaurant only had three servers and two cooks. I was absolutely amazed at the speed and courtesy of our waiter who, also, repeatedly apologized for any wait and kept us informed about our order which was perfectly prepared and quality was not impacted whatsoever due to the short staff. I think the staff that worked tonight, January 18, should be recognized for their hard work and willingness to come in when many believed the road conditions were too treacherous. The employees did so with a smile on their face and I never heard any complaints. Every employee was helping one another and it was something you do not often see.
