The food was good but the service was so-so.
My husband and I loved this place.Great staff clean place and the food is OMG great.The only thing I would change is this.We each got loaded baked potatoes.After cutting it they should have pushed the ends a bit to help break it up then ran a knife or spoon and chopped up the potato in the skin and put butter in the bottom.Other than that it was greatWe will go back and take the kids and grandkids
We ate there this past weekend. Only one other customer when we went in. Waitress was quick to take our order. I had a ham and cheese omelet and my friend had a cheeseburger. The food came out very quickly and hat. It looked really good. However it was actually very bland and tasteless. I was disappointed but portions was plenty therefore we did get full. I doubt I'll be going there again anytime soon.
Anytime I'm coming down I40 near Morganton I try to stop here to eat. Their burgers are amazing.... My personal favorite is the patty melt. Also, try their milkshakes! Good Christian folks that own and run the place with Bible verses displayed around the building and on the menus. For that reason alone, I would continue to support this establishment.
Just had a Western Scrambler stuffed potato at Carolina Diner. Delicious!!! They have added items to there menu and the themed hot potatoes are really good! Great place to eat and great people!
Great atmosphere, friendly staff, tasty food made to order! Was the last meal I had on way out Morganton on way to TN to live! Thanks for the great meal...
The food was amazing and the place was very clean. The staff here takes pride in their restaurant. I definitely will stop here again on my way through. I had the steak burger with fries and a salad. I also had their pumpkin pie with cookies and cream ice cream. All of it was amazing.
My husband and I had late lunch there and the food tasted ok except the coleslaw which was only dry cabbage, the portions were small for the raised prices you had to pay. The waitress we had was non-existent. Took order, brought food and never came back to our table at all. No drink refills were offered, no asking if we wanted anything else or dessert, my husband was not brought any condiments for his breakfast food he ordered. Instead of attending to her tables, the waitress was outside sitting down. We were going to Abele's in Morganton, but chose here instead and that was a big mistake, a lasting one. No more going back for us. I hate even giving one star.
I had the best breakfast in town clean place, fresh food, taste good... although the outside needs a clean up. Windows need cleaning.... this would help with over all appearance. I give it 5 stars!!!
I've eaten at the Diner twice and both meals were delicious. We had different servers and they were very friendly and knowledgeable. The first one helped me find a breakfast combo that had exactly what I wanted. I'll definitely dine there on a regular basis.
