We waited 30 minutes to place our order. There were 3 cars in front of us. There has obviously been a major change in the menu & I think ownership. Wanted half a rack of ribs, they were out of ribs. So, we ordered a smoked chicken breast plate, received half of a chicken breast. Sides on this plate were generous portions. Ordered a BBQ sandwich combo w/ cole slaw on the sandwich & baked beans as side. Received a tiny little container of cole slaw & no baked beans. Cole slaw is a condiment on a BBQ sandwich, not a side, especially with the portion being thumb sized. Smoked chicken breast plate should be a chicken breast, not half of one. Disappointed is not strong enough a description. I have enjoyed stopping at Butch's BBQ for years. Don't think we will be customers any more.
Great BBQ for the price!The price is pretty fair for what you get even with the prices on pork right now. The sides could be a little bigger but atleast the pork taste great!
I was not expecting such good barbecue. I had the wings also the largest I've seen in any restaurant the staff was super friendly. The wait staff is incredible. The restaurant is under new ownership, 3 weeks now, so do not pay attention to the low reviews of this restaurant it is great. Those are old reviews.
Lived here 15 years and never had tried Butch's chicken tenders. (Think I have only been to the drive-thru once many years ago-and it took forever and was pricey so I never returned) Been wanting chicken tenders for a while now so decided to try their curbside ordering. The ordering itself was easy. Ordered 8 tenders and added 1 more... and potato wedges. It said we would have it in 10 minutes. We waited and waited... employees flying thru the door to talk in the parking lot and take their smoke breaks. They saw us waiting there and just ignored us. Then they all seemed to walk off and leave, but one lady stayed inside to take care of the drivethru window. We looked and it was 37 min, so my husband decided to go in and see what was going on. There sat our order. For who knows how long. She did explain there was no honey mustard, so we get that part. No apology was made about our food sitting, but the poor lady seemed at the end of her rope from everyone leaving. But when we open it...it is missing the extra tender and the wedges were fries. Food was like lukewarm. The tenders lacked any flavor and were greasy. So...needless to say - we won't be coming back. If you are local or just passing thru...save yourself the time and sadness and just go to Carolina Legendary Smoke. And no, we aren't related to or have any friends who work there. The end.PS: I would like to note our 14 yr old dog who wanted to come with was very happy with some pcs of chicken; and she would probably come back if she could get a ride there Lol
Amber and the new team that took over are really doing amazing hard work to take it up a few notches and it shows. Great food, prepared and served in a way that creates something more than fast food and costs less. They served me the best damn livermush breakfast samich I have had in many years. I'll be coming back regular.
The food is decent for what you pay. But then again, thats IF you get what you pay for. I literally order the same thing every time I have been there. . With a total of 3 different prices. When asking why their prices keep changing back and forth each time I come. . I could never get a direct answer. It has been up to a $2 upcharge for the same thing I just ordered 3 days ago. Exact. Same. Thing. I believe they just charge you what they want. Do NOT go by menu prices. They dont honor it.
Love this place! Always good food and FRESH!! Their BBQ and Liver Mush are my favorite!! Not to mention their staff is always amazing!
BBQ wasn't good. Wings were not.my son got smoked legs were good. Tea was pretty good. Cheese sticks were huge but my son and husband didn't like them but I did.
12/14/21 I got the super combo, it comes with bbq 2 chicken tenders and 2 sides, the red slaw was good, mac n cheese was mediocre, chicken tenders were good but the bbq, that doesnt deserve to be called bbq, it was dry as the Mojave desert I feel like it was leftover from the day before, terrible taste, I know it's pork but if you've ever bought the beef jerky that comes in a round can like dipping tobacco thats exactly how it tasted down to the T, worst bbq I believe I have ever had, service was nice and quick though but man I'm telling you I just couldnt get over how terrible the bbq was at a supposedly legit bbq joint, if Gordon ramsey were to walk in that place and taste that bbq he would have a anureysm, I wouldn't feed it to my dog let alone a human. Thats all I have
I ordered 4 tender plates and 2 salads for $46 and when I checked the food it was all mixed together in the boxes, the tenders should have been called nuggets, didn't receive extra ranch as ordered, they where out of hush puppies and rolls. The food was very disappointing to say the least. Should have gone to McDonald's and next time I will. Don't waste your $$$$.
