I ate at this place for the first time back in April. Had a lunch date planned with my best friend and her toddler and this was her pick. Place is spacious and very clean and homey feeling. Staff was very polite. My salad was amazing and my fries the crispest I could ever ask for. My girlfriend also enjoyed her meal and so did her toddler. This place gets 3 thumbs up!
We did a family get together of about 12 of us for Moms 83rd birthday! They were very accommodating with setting up the family for dinner. Very big menu and for the most part everyone enjoyed what they ordered. Only one person said the Chicken n Dumplings needs improvement and I noticed the table behind us when they left there was a half bowl on their table as well left. BUT overall it went well and the other meals and salads etc were very good! They even stored the cake we brought and came out with it later for a birthday treat with extra little plates and forks. I appreciated that extra touch! I wanted to recognize our Waitress TAMMY. She did an outstanding job taking care of all of us. She kept bringing out ice and tea etc when the glasses looked low several times. Checked on us several times and accommodated anything asked for. Thank you for a job well done! You all got a keeper in the Waitress department for sure. She knows what she is doing and I hope after we left we showed it in the tip bucket for you Tammy! Thanks again. Will be back!
Without a doubt one of the absolute worst meals I've had in my life. Out of crab cakes, out of corn on the cob. To go: Ordered blackened shrimp. Tasted like farm raised -- mucky, not blackened one bit, couldn't eat even 1; cole slaw - boring and too vinegary, couldn't eat; mashed potatoes and gravy -- edible but disappointing; hush puppies -- cold and tasted like cardboard; coconut cake - all artificial flavoring, no coconut in cake, a few, maybe 4 flakes on the outside. Icing tasted like suntan lotion flavoring. Never again. My cat did eat 2 shrimp which tells you there was no blackening done. Just to be fair, 2 in the family ordered the cheerewine bbq hamburgers and said they were good.
Went on a Wednesday about 2pm. Notified them of shellfish allergy. Food came fairly quickly and was verified to be uncontaminated of shell fish residue.The food was hot and delicious. We'll definitely go back....
We had a lovely waitress that did a good job. Enjoyed the casual atmosphere. The food was good, but not good enough for us to be excited to return.
We loved it so much, we returned three times during our stay. Portions are large, food is delicious. Their Southern fried buttermilk chicken was tender, moist & delicious. Their hush puppies were outstanding! Sides were fantastic (onion rings, Mac & cheese, broccoli casserole, just to name a few in an outstanding selection). Prices were great. Staff was very friendly.
We set down at table it was 10 minute's or more no one waited on us I finally grab a waiter he got our drinks came back said our Waitress would be right here another c 10-15 minute's no one so male waiter took our order Waitress avowed up at table behind us she finally asked if we needed anything she never told us her name or apologize for making us wait the male waiter came back bought us refills the female was our Waitress but did nothing for us im very disappointed in the Waitress then our food was cold my husband had pork chop that wasn't hot tough and very disappointed he like the cabbage but everything else was awful but no one asked I had chicken salad didn't have a taste but for cranberry I didn't care for it fruit was on plate looked old and not fresh very disappointed we drove from Gastonia NC to eat there to have sorry food sorry wait staff really I should give you a 2-3 rating make my meal right snd I'll eat my words

Quickly seated and asked about drinks.Our order arrived with no delay.A visit to the restroom before our meal was a mistake. The very strong dirty mop smell. A moldy mop that never gets cleaned is all I can assume.Our meal was VERY hot (temperature), had great flavor and good size portions.This has become our go-to-place in Mooresville.We will just be sure and go to the restroom before we stop in for a meal.
