Had been a while since we've been at Epic, and decided our anniversary would be a great opportunity to get back to this fantastic restaurant we've loved over the years. But, wow, has it gone downhill. What started out as just really, really slow service just got worse and worse. When my medium rare steak finally came out it was fully well done. Sent it back, and by the time my wife had finished her meal the replacement was still not back so I asked for it to go. Bill arrives, and full charge. What the heck has happened? We asked why it has gone so downhill from the greatness we remember and got a story about a new chef trying to find their way there. We found our way out and will not return. Ruined our anniversary dinner.

Went for a corporate event, the private room was great, the staff was friendly and the food was great. If I am in the area again I would definitely come back for date night. Also, cheesecake…. You won’t regret it.

Here we have a restaurant that is highly rated. And yet, I ask why? For food? for service? After my experience, I'm not sure. May I first start by saying that the Wedge salad was excellent. Crisp and cold lettuce, great dressing. Good start. Next, the small ribeye. Mediocre at best. Cooked to order, but thin. Nothing noteworthy. But the insult came with the bill. First, our friend ordered "The Filet". He was not asked to specify which filet. In his mind he was ordering the small, but he supposedly was served the Large, and billed accordingly. Should the server not have asked which filet he wanted? I think so. But that did not happen. And the final insult? When the bill came, our friend discovered that his Tito's martini was billed for 3 separate items - the Tito's, and then a 2.95 upcharge for "Martini", and then the ultimate insult...$1.95 for the Blue Cheese Olives. What???? Any restaurant that proclaims itself as upscale best not be itemizing the martini charges! And for that, I will not be back.

This was a great experience. I do suggest making reservations. We went two weekends in a row without one and we were able to sit on the right side where there is first come first serve seating almost immediately. The service was 10/10 we had the same server both times and I am obsessed with her ?.Food the first time was perfect. The second time my food was more 7-8/10. But it wouldn’t stop me from coming back again soon.

We try to eat dinner here every couple of months, usually to celebrate something special, but often just because we want to eat good food and experience great service. We ate dinner here with family a week ago and had a wonderful time. It was Prime Rib Monday so that's what I ordered. It was served at a perfect medium rare. Portion was larger than I expected, Hubs got rainbow trout. Others at our table also ordered blackened prime rib, ribeye steak, roasted salmon and filet mignon. Everything was great, no one had any complaints about the food or service, and we all had a great time. We had an early seating so we had the upstairs to ourselves for quite some time before the normal busy dinner hour. Our server was outstandingly professional. She paid attention to my dairy allergy and made sure everything on my plate was safe to eat. Hubs and daughter always enjoy the crime brûlée after dinner. It never fails to be the best ending to a great meal. Earlier, we had pre-dinner drinks at the bar. Lovely staff down there too. Friendly, without being too much so, and always professional. I especially enjoyed the cherry lemon sun drop martini one of them made for me. So it was just another lovely dinner at Epic. Looking forward to the next time.

The food was great and there wine list was excellent. Amber and Caitlin was excellent bartenders. Definitely a place to return too.

Delicious food, friendly service, terrific atmosphere, and yes it's pricey but it's worth it! I got the Epic Burger with truffle fries and absinthe. I highly recommend.

Not worth the wait or time. They lied about tables for reservations and food took 2 hours after we ordered. Paid for drinks and appetizers and left. Would not waste my time Going back

Great food... as long as you aren't seated in the warehouse.I was looking forward to this visit for a while, since we had moved to the area and my parents had gifted us a $200 certificate to check out this great restaurant. I had early reservations for 5:15 on a Sunday because I was celebrating my wife's birthday and we were going to be returning home for cake and a video call with the kids. Suffice it to say that the downstairs dining room is amazing. The upstairs dining room to the right of the stairs is very nice (an A- compared to the room below). But the upstairs dining room to the left is an open banquet hall with zero character or appeal - particularly for a couple looking for a romantic night out. When we were seated, the downstairs dining room was perhaps 50% full. Instead, we got to sit in the upstairs banquet room... towards the back. A sad, dark experience that colored our entire opinion of the restaurant. Were they too busy so that they had to stick us in the back - even though not a single table around us was occupied for our entire visit? The food was great... the service was great... the setting was not. So my caution would simply be - don't go there if you can't get a reservation on the ground floor.

The dinner at the popular Epic Chophouse in downtown Mooresville, NC was overall average. The french onion soup, filet, and NY strip were only OK. Have had much better elsewhere. Service was good. Not on our come back list.
