Food is great. Visited on a Friday evening, got the table with no waiting time. Service was quick and nice. Our server was really courteous. All items we ordered came out great. Loved the quesadilla. Fish taco was decent too. Also tried Burritos and Pollo verde. Ambience is good and it felt lively inside.

After working for so many years in Mooresville and retiring in 2016, I occasionally get back there! Today was one of those days and El Cerro Reyes is still and always has been the very best of the best! They work together as an amazing team to make the most delicious Mexican dishes in the world and deliver the very best service anywhere! Thank you Toño, Lalo, Chito and everyone else who works so hard to make the best food in all of the Lake Norman area!! ?

Went during the week. The shrimp tocos are really good. The margaritas are great. Especially if you like them sweet. The California burritos are also really good. If you go on Friday- Sunday prepare to wait.
I have been here about 4 times recently because it's a family favorite; and for good reason.The seating is always relatively fast. The servers are very busy and surprisingly attentive. They are more than willing to adjust dishes for food sensitivity and preferences. The food itself is served quickly and hot. The shrimp is cooked properly, the pork is a little salty but tender. Everyone I have dined with enjoyed their meals. There's a variety of beer and mixed drinks available.
We love this place. The staff is friendly, the food is good and reasonable and they have good drink specials!
