The staff and owner are incredibly welcoming and nice. The food was delicious as well as the desserts. I highly recommend Blu Star especially if you are gluten free (even celiac) because they take the time and special precautions to avoid cross contact and their gluten free options (tons of them!) were incredible. Blu Star Grill will be one of our go-to restaurants!
Really nice place for lunch. Very clean, very friendly and helpful staff, and the food was fresh and excellent. I had the daily special of chicken salad on greens with a seasonal fruit salad, and an excellent banana nut muffin, all fresh and delicious. Husbey had Reuben, which was hot, cheesy and delicious. AND, the best oatmeal raisin cookie thrown in. Highly recommend and I hope to get back again soon.
Service was a little slow for not being full, guessing short staffed like everywhere. A little on the pricy side for what you get. Now, that being said the food was really good. My burger was thick, tasty and properly cooked. The lettuce, tomato and pickle were huge and fresh. The grilled cheese was absolutely amazing. Fries are oddly shaped and delicious. Servers are working hard and attentive. Definitely will be back.
Absolutely delicious food and friendly staff! The manager even came by to say hi and ensure we were enjoying our experience! I highly recommend this restaurant and hope to come by again sometime soon.
My friend and I wanted to eat lunch in Mooresville so we looked on Tripadvisor and saw that Blu Star was #1 so we went. We both had the elk burger prepared diferently and they were excellent. Prompt and professionalservice.
What a great place. By far our favorite while visiting Mooresville. The owner was outstanding and took the time to introduce himself and discuss the menu. I had Mahi Mahi and it was fresh, for sure! Others had Chicken or various sorts, they loved it too. What a nice experience overall, everyone was so pleasant and the food being great makes me wonder how we did not find them sooner! For the record, we are very picky.
Service was exceptional! Salad was huge and delicious. You get to pick one of three muffins and I got the banana nut….I was wonderful. Very clean and enjoyable. Lots of Keto choices.
Nelson (the owner) is usually there to greet you, make sure that you are happy with your visit and just overseeing his dynamic team of employees. Zack the head chef is the BEST! The food is always amazing. All the ingredients are fresh and natural.

Love this place, and particularly the owner Nelson Bass. What a great host. Food always very goodPrices a little high but we still like the place and the service. We just can't go as often as we used to.
