My family LOVES everything about Southern Roots. Every item on the menu is tasty, unique, and perfectly prepared. The atmosphere is relaxed and comfortable.

Excellent steak bites and customer service!! Thank you!

The food & service were fantastic!! We will definitely be back ?

Very nice staff, and good food

We so enjoyed the grilled shrimp tacos and my husband loves frog legs and was happy to see they were the special Wednesday night. Great food and service. Two different servers checked on us and made sure our tea glasses were full. They are happy and made small talk and you could just tell they enjoyed working at Southern Roots. Thanks for a great evening

I experienced the same exact thing when I visited this establishment two times. The first time my wife and I were left standing and waiting to be seated for about 15 minutes. They were not busy and had tables open. The second time I waited at the door for maybe 5 minutes with no one coming to greet or seat me. So I went to the bar and was looked over for about another 10 minutes. Finally the bartender came and I ordered a beer. Again wait, wait, wait. I finally became a bit angry got up and left. The second time was a charm and I won't be back.

BEST PLACE TO EAT IN TOWN!!! The owners are the sweetest most humble human beings I’ve ever met. Pops is hands down the best chef in Monroe nc!!

Super cute place, love the vibe. Service was a little slow at first but understandable. Food and drinks came out fast. I had the barnyard wrap which was delicious!

My wife and I went there for dinner. We stood at the front door waiting to be seated and was eventually approached by a woman. She wanted to sit us at a bar table but I wanted a regular table or booth. There was not many people there and I could see a number of empty tables. She said she was going to clean off a table and left. We continue standing at the front door. The woman who was supposedly clearing a table, came back and started taking orders out from the kitchen. After the third time of her going to take out other orders, it was obvious to me that they weren't interested in us getting a seat so we left. I could have better understood this if they were busy, but they were not. I won't bother ever trying to visit that establishment ever again.

The food was amazing although the service from the owner was unacceptable. As a business owner myself, I try to offer the best possible service to my customers. Apparently that’s not the norm at Southern Roots.
