I always enjoy the food and the staff is friendly and accommodating. Great daily specials add to a delicious menu.
I would highly recommend Main Street Bistro to anyone! Fast service, beautiful & comfortable atmosphere and not to mention the food is delicious!
The the staff is amazing. The service was unbelievable. I forget our servers name but she was so sweet and helpful. Now! To the food. I had the blackened chicken pasta. Best I’ve ever had. I cleared my plate. Jim had the fillet and with baked potato and green beans. Everything was wonderful. Thank you. We will be back. So nice having a really great place to go in Monroe. I definitely need more pasta
Quiet little place, Great staff and even better food. I order the club sandwich and fries to go after working in the area. I've stopped in 5-6 times and never disappointed. I've began bringing co-workers in to experience this little gem.
The food was good but nothing fabulous. The odd thing was that our "starter" arrived at our very small table long after our main dishes. Had to relocate to another table... weird feeling! It's hard to appreciate an appetizer that way; besides, food got cold before we could eat everything. And I won't mention (OK, I guess I will) that some things on the menu were not available and prices were a bit high for the quality.
The side salad was fresh & delicious. The spaghetti & meatballs were disappointing, however. The meatballs had a great texture but the seasoning was lacking. The marinara was tasty but needed something to punch it up a bit. The decor was cute & there were plenty of outdoor seats. My friend had a club sandwich with fries & the fries were very good.
Our family had the most wonderful time at Main Street Bistro! My only regret is not discovering this gem sooner. The menu is diverse enough that we had pasta, a selection of sides for my vegetarian, salads, and more - I had a tenderloin that was butter-tender. The servers were fun and the Executive Chef / co-owner came out and introduced himself to us. We've since found out that they even deliver to the tavern across the street that often has live music. We are already planning on going back for lunch (sitting outside) and a dinner before seeing the Union Symphony across the street. We will be back, many times.
It was a pleasant experience. The meal was good, I had fried fish, fries, coleslaw, and stuffed mushrooms appetizer. My daughter had steak and said it was cooked perfectly. We were pleased.
My husband and I had an amazing dinner tonight. The food was amazing. Our waitress was great and very knowledgeable with the questions we had. If you haven't tried Main Street Bistro yet it's a must on your bucket list.
PLEASE READ UPDATE BELOW.We ordered food for delivery and the food was good; however, I ordered a bowl of soup as this would be the main meal for me and I received what would be considered a cup or less at most establishments! I called to complain, hoping they'd rectify their mistake. Instead I was told that their soup bowls are actually pretty small. They apologized but did nothing! If you're going to offer soup in both cup and bowl sizes, you need to honor that instead of serving your customers just a small cup! I was very disappointed (and hungry)!!!UPDATE: I called and spoke with Thomas, as asked, the following Friday. He apologized and explained what he believed happened. He was very gracious and offered to pay for one of our meals if we ordered again. We did and the food was great. We both had the grilled Mediterranean Mahi Mahi and it was excellent, flaky, moist and nicely seasoned. Thank you Thomas and your staff! We will definitely be returning.
