Wasn't impressed. The decor wanted to be nice but the open kitchen made it feel like a low end pizza place. We were able to hear language and complaining about the lack of pepperoni, basil, and mozzarella and how the staff did not communicate that they didn't order it. The waitress brought us someone elses pizza. The appetizer we order was about a half order of calamari but at full order prices. Not really worth the price. The Owner was excited about buying 4 dozen bagels from Yonkers and the bagel owner asked if he was starting his own bagel shop and even gave him a 5 dozen. We heard the story at least 3 times. They need to decide to be fine Italian dining or a pizza parlor. Seems like there is a management issue as well with no order process or procedure. Finally, the owner should really not discuss his divorce to customers either. Not the time a place. Finally, can't understand a full bar when there is on 28 seats. Especially with two other bars and restaurants in the plaza. Need to figure out what they want to be. Food taste was good but very confusing...
Haven’t been to Mama’s in a long time….. I found out it changed ownership and went by for dinner! It was fantastic….. The Pizza was perfect, salads & appetizers were fresh and we really enjoyed it! We will be back?
It’s a decent pizza place that’s open on Sunday’s. They are understaffed for a Sunday dinner rush, but that’s understandable in 2022. I don’t plan on getting pizza from here on Mon-Sat because there are much better options in the area.I like NY style pizza and it is an Italian pizza place, but which may be why I gave a 3.5/5

Craving Italian and Google lead us here. Oh my, absolutely amazing!!! The food was made fresh and it came out hot. When I say it is delicious ? please believe me. Go check them out. We will definitely be back!
We had a very pleasant "Candle light" dinner. Delicious entrées, great service, reasonable prices. Authentic Italian meals with a home made presentation. We will be back.
Best pizza in Charlotte, hands down! Crust is perfect. Sauce is excellent. They have fresh Basil, which is apparently not easy to find. Thank you Mamas!!!!!
I ordered from Mamas pizza every Friday, ever since they changed owner, the service has been really bad, they never have delivery drivers, always out of the items in the menu, whoever answers the phone is not polite. I guess my biggest problema was insisting on this place, today I had an experience where the “owner” called me and said we don't appreciate your business please don't order anymore here, I didn't tip the delivery driver, I didn't have any cash on me, they don't have an option of tipping the driver on their credit card machine. The order took about an hour to be delivered. I guess they don't need my business. Miss the old owner, the quality and service were better, unless they change in the close future I don't recommend it,
I would not order a cold sub from them again. I ordered the Italian and the meat had just a weird flavor with salad toppings (pepperoni, diced tomatoes, lettuce) all seemed like it was meant for a salad and not a sub. But the pizza was AMAZING!! Loved the pepperoni and sausage pie and they also reached out to me TWICE. Once due to DoorDash being a bit behind and again because they didn’t have the chips I selected as a side. I loved that. Their customer service is A1 and I would definitely order from here again.Update: maybe you should remove this item from the menu considering you don’t have the proper ingredients. The meat from the sub tasted pre soaked in Italian dressing AGAIN all the ingredients were meant for a salad and not a sub. For 13$?
What can I say about mamas? I wish that I could give more than. 5 stars. From something as easy as a pizza to a perfectly made chicken parmigiana dinner, they hit a home run. Fresh made garlic knots…. The newly renovated space creating a nice ambiance is a great touch. The new owners Alex and Anya treat you like family and that alone would keep anyone coming back for more. 10/10 fully recommended!
