To avoid the dinner rush, called @ 5 on a Sun. "30 min." At 6, they couldn't tell me when it'd be ready so I asked for a refund, esp since one of our 3 orders had been sitting out 15 min. "No," I have to understand they only have 1 cook tonight. Looked like 2 to me, but sure I could understand that - if they told me when I called an hour ago. I didn't ask for any special favors, they didn't offer, made nothing right. Not even any fortune cookies, like what take out does that? Food was OK, crab Rangoon was excellent. Oh, and if you don't pay by cash, add 4% to your order. Didn't tell us that either. $50 when Hibachi is a walk away? Never again
We paid $40 for this garbage. We threw it out. First and last time there. Wan-Fu, Ming-Fu, New Asian, and Best Wok are all far better than this. Lesson learned.
After doing a little Christmas shopping, I called in an order for their delicious shrimp fried rice. Highly recommend this restaurant. Their food is very delicious!
For the eighteen and a half years I've been eating at this restaurant and ordering the beef with broccoli, non spicy, with extra white rice every time, trust me when I write this - this is the place to eat at. I've never found another place like Chen-Fu, where the food is just phenomenal. There is no other Chinese-American restaurant like this one. I've been able to convert some of my friends, who are not huge Asian food fans, to being a fan of this take on Asian food. The food here is like no other. The sauce in which the broccoli and beef are cooked in is amazing, not sweet, more of a savoury flavor. The mixture of broccoli, beef, and the sauce are taste bud-overwhelming. The rice is cooked and steam to perfection, I'm picky about my rice and this is the only restaurant in which I am in love with the rice. A nice small Mom-and-Pop restaurant. Every time my family and I visit, we are met with familiarity and warmth. Chenda and/or Sonya will greet us at the counter and will write down our order without us having to say so. Then Tony will wave to us from the kitchen. While we wait for the food, Sonya will come and chat with us and everyone else in the restaurant. Catch up with customers. Then she will deliver our steaming plates of deliciousness and, instantly, I am in heaven. I definitely implore anyone to come to Chen-Fu and experience just wonderful food. Even now with being over a hundred miles away, I still go at least once a month for my Chen-Fu.
Interesting setup inside. A couple things didn't really sit right with me but it wasn't anything serious to the point to put it out there to the public. The food however was very good.
Customer service on point. The wings, friend rice, fried crab awesome. I didn't care so much for the egg/spring rolls but overall, the food was great ??
Amazing… I’m a very particular foodie this was the best Chinese food I’ve ever had. Perfect balance of flavors. Plus the staff was insanely nice! A+ highly recommended!!!
