Got seated pretty quickly and got orders as quickly BUT didn’t get butter with side corn nor the biscuits that was listed in menu to come with meal. Had to ask for biscuits and by the time they arrived at the table with no butter we were ready to go. Normally the server would visit and drop off check but we had to ask for that as well. To add to that the staff was extremely slow at busing/cleaning tables after dinners had left. Looked to me that they had one young person doing the job and stopped him from busing after a large party to clear off tables at the far end of the dinning area. Sad to say this isn’t from anything short of poor management because this has happened at serval locations even before the pandemic. Cracker Barrel get your stuff together!
Second Cracker Barrel experience that day while traveling. First was worse. Good server here. But whoever heard of a roadside restaurant with no hamburgers on the menu. So I tried again at breakfast. Eggs were fine, but they are shaving the ham slice thinner than ever and it appears, cooking it the same amount of time. Been a customer of both local and about every Cracker Barrel along the I95 corridor for close to 40 years. Done for a while. It's what happens when you let accountants guide restaurants.
I really enjoyed eating here, this place takes me back. My mom and I used to love eating from here for some good country food. It’s not as good as hers and grandma’s home cooked meals. But it’ll do.. ☺️☺️☺️ It’s very good food for the price. There’s a nice gift shop, you can browse while you wait on a table or you can wait until you finish your meal. I bought a very nice pair of beaded sandals from here, I actually wore them on my wedding day ??? If you have never ate from Cracker Barrel, you should definitely stop through sometime!!! Wonderful staff and clean restrooms.
We ate breakfast here on our way to Florida. Decent breakfast and good service. We enjoy the country store also too. Price not to bad.
Last five orders have been missing or incorrect items. Today (Easter) we were missing a whole dinner plate. Had to go all the way back to receive the missing plate. My mother in law just had major surgery and we couldn't go eat so figured we would bring dinner to her. No apologies or anything free such as dessert for the gas that was spent to go back and get the missing item. I did not get to eat my food hot and the manager could care less about any of this. I will never spend another penny at this restaurant. I have been a manager at three restaurants and the manager that was there today does not need to be a manager. The cashier was a lot nicer than he was. He needs to take lessons!!
If I could have given 0 stars I would have. The experience I just had here was the worse ever. Sat there for almost 2 hours while other tables that came in after me and my family received their food ate it & left and we still hadn't received our food yet. Management barely even apologized. Even after I told them I watched 8 other tables receive their food. After another couple came in right us received they food their food after waiting almost as long as us. We decided to leave. There aren't that many good places to go to in Lumberton as is. But they never have to worry about me again.
Good food when it finally came. I ordered a pot roast beef and waited 45 mins for it to be brought to the table. The customers at the table next to us arrived after we ordered and were done eating before our meal came out of the kitchen. Had to find a manager to locate our waitress who disappeared for a half hour. And don't tell me your short staffed when others are getting their food promptly.
Food was fresh and hot. Best beans and greens I have ever had at a Cracker Barrel. Ashley was a pleasant and wonderful presence. All around enjoyable dining experience.
Good food and a cool location. Not being on the main roadway but being on the main roadway was perfect. Hostess was nice and we were seated quickly. Food came out at a good pace and was tasty. It's breakfast so you know what to choose. The sausage was a little tough but almost all of the restaurants serve them tough. The space inside is nice with the shop attached being a nice addition. A great stop over going south for sure.
It's cracker barrel so I'll give it 5 stars just because the rest of my family loves Their food. However we did have a bad experience with the waitress being so forgetful. We didn't get our biscuits until after we were halfway done our food. Then it took forever to get butter and jelly for the biscuits.
