Not impressed with the quality of the food. Just A splash of cheese, splash of condiments. Literally A piece of bacon cut in half. Smh. They used to do better. They don't listen. Are always rushed N rushing us thru. They make mistakes N don't give you the quality. Ijs.They're milkshakes are the best tho!
One of the best Cook Outs around, they are super fast and the food is always on point unlike some of the other locations I have visited if you're passing through Lumberton on 95 and are looking for something quick but with the quality of a high end priced restaurant I highly recommend. Every employee I've had an encounter with at the window is always super nice. I have a Cook Out within 3 miles of my home but I will drive the 15 miles to the Lumberton location for the service and even better food because I know I will not be disappointed, keep up the great work crew. PS the prices are still really good we fed my whole entire family of 5 Sunday after church for only $36 dollars and everyone got their own meals in which they call trays with drinks, we all got a piece of cheesecake and our daughter's got milkshakes as well that's not bad at all. Anywhere else the bill would have been noth of fifty maybe sixty dollars.
Service is getting horrible. The past few times I've been to the Cook Out in Lumberton. I usually sit at the ordering speaker a minute or longer before they even acknowledge you're there. I waited 15 minutes AFTER I ORDERED to get my food a few nights ago. Tonight the inside Lane serviced 3 vehicles while I waited 9 minutes for a burger and fries. Then the fries tasted like they had been cooked, got cold then dropped back in the greàse. Poor management, sorry service and the quality of food is sad compared to what this place was when they first opened.2/09/2022Order 2 Burger Trays and paid $17 and change.What has happened to your great service and decent prices you once boasted about (which was true at one time). But not any more.Beverage were supposed to be included with a TRAY Entree, 2 sides and beverage around $4 to $5. I was charged $2.19 for each Beverages. I could have gotten a Buffet at Golden Corral for these prices. Take a look at the burger I got with the bacon BURNT. For the price I paid I at least should be able to expect food prepared correctly.Very disappointed NOT even one star, but if you don't mark the one then people just think you didn't rate them.
I like the grilled chicken burger. Spent around 7$ for the 5$ meal. The cookout sauce taste great and the sweet tea was tasty. The fries are better than McDonald's and burger king's fries to me.

Good barbecue, great milkshakes, & reasonable prices. Just need a better drive-thru system. U have to remind them for napkins & check ur food before driving away bcuz they don't label anything & orders get mixed up.

Nasty burgers no flavor kinda tasted raw but it was cooked . BO FLAVOR thought I had COVID till I tasted those old bay fries with hair. Just don't do it friends
