Not from the area, but stopped in to every BBQ joint in the area since I heard Lexington was known for their BBQ. This was the only place that impressed me. The chopped BBQ and potato salad were delicious!
For me this is the best BBQ in Lexington. or anywhere as far as I am concerned. Now that I have written a review it is making me want it again. Guess I will have to go there for lunch.
Took care of our large family outing. Everything was good and plentiful. Pitchers of everyone's drink. No complaints. Waitresses got a well deserved tip.
We LOVE Speedy's! BBQ is super flavorful and everyone there is super friendly. We had our rehearsal dinner there in the back room in May and the service and food was great. Shannon made sure our table was ready and even had a cute flower with "Congratulations" waiting for me! My husband and I drive from the Charlotte area for their BBQ, it's so good.. and you get TONS of food for the price!
First time trying it out because of a friend's recommendation. Well burger was good but very small patty, bbq was big portion but not very tasty, and hot dog was beef I think. Almost $14 probably worth $10.
It was delicious as always. I always have to take half of it home because their servings are larger than any other BBQ restaurant in Lexington NC. So I usually make two to three meals out of one.
Great place to eat! They have some of the best BBQ I've ever eaten, Laid back and relaxed atmosphere, Very nice and courteous servers. You definitely get your money's worth with the amount of food you get. If you happen to be in the area, definitely stop and get something to eat, you won't regret it.
I had never experienced North Carolina BBQ before, and I am glad that I tried it. The BBQ at Speedy's was absolutely amazing! Everything was really great. At other places one dish is great and 1 or 2 of the sides might not be as good, but at Speedy's the Hushpuppies, Coleslaw, and Beans were also topnotch. I had leftovers and I they were great. They also did a great job getting people in and out quick. This was a Friday night and there was a constant stream of people coming in and leaving. Every table was full but I did not notice a wait to get in at anytime. Clean, friendly, and really a lot of food for your money. A true hidden gem.
Surprisingly, the best thing here are the baked beans. The BBQ is good Lexington BBQ and the portions are ENORMOUS. Overall good for the price. Friendly service as well.
Every time we’ve been there has been a great experience. The staff has always been very pleasant. The portion sizes are large and in line with the price of other places in the area.
