My turkey and brie sandwich was amazing. So were the mushroom and goat cheese tartlets. The food was pretty slow to come out though, but they were apologetic. The beef tip appetizer comes out looking like more of a soup instead of a sauce. I think they would be better with a drizzled glaze and look more appealing. All in all though, this place was kind of a gem in my book. A warm and inviting atmosphere with friendly staff and delicious food would have me recommending this place to anyone.
Love the ambiance of this restaurant. It's relaxing. Appetizers, entrees and wine did not disappoint. Service was quick and waitresses were attentive.
Our sandwiches were amazing. The Pork Belly Cuban is a great take on Cuban Sandwich and gives it great flavor.Atmosphere is casual and staff is super nice.
It was so nicely decorated inside, and the owner was down to earth and yes a Chef. The cider and food was nothing less than excellent.
I loved the decor of wine bottles as a tree they lights all over branches. The front window was also a tree with lights all around the window. Very cute. A single guitarist playing some old songs changed to his way. Pretty good. The food I had a burger it was great! The guys had Cuban's they were hot & delicious. Our first visit we enjoyed Sophie's. Staff was great also!

Awesome place John. The wife, and I stopped in to get some food. 6 out of 5 stars! Thanks for the wagyu sliders. Definitely will be back for some more grub. Very happy with the price as well.
Chef John is hands down one of the most creative chefs in the area creating fantastic dishes every week...on top of that he has awesome beer &wine selections to pair with all his tasty morsels. Bottom line the BEST choice you can make in Lexington !!
Family hosted a Rehearsal Dinner after party at Sophie’s and they were wonderful to work with on all levels. John was responsive and patient as we worked through beer, wine and menu options. He provided us with several names and contact numbers for DJ/karaoke entertainment, Friends not invited to rehearsal dinner ate dinner there and said food was delicious. Wonderful ambience and attentive staff. Highly recommend for private function, casual cocktails or dinner!
I cannot say enough good things about our experience at Sophie's Wine Bar. My siblings rented the space for an after party.John , the owner, bent over backwards to accommodate our requests. The food he provided was delicious, the dj/karaoke was a hit, and the atmosphere was perfect for the event. It was a wonderful, fun filled evening. Many thanks to John for a great time!!!!
