The meats here are quite good, especially the ribs on Wednesdays and Fridays, the sides are typical bbq fare, not bad nor not great, but you get your moneys worth.Service is friendly but can be rushed if at peak hours but I think they do a good job at it considering how busy they are.The one reason I didn't rate higher is the hours of operation, they close at 7PM which doesn't really giving working folks time to decide where to go or even time to eat here even if we wanted to.
The home cooked plate lunches are alright but the meat and 2 vegetable plate lunch is $9.99The village restaurant in denton, nc same item is only $8.25 with more meats and veggies cooked fresh daily

Had their ribs which were a little over done and crusty/dry. Otherwise food was tasty, especially the sweet potato casserole. Service was friendly and attentive.
The food is really good .Font know if they changed cooks.But it was great.And the waitress make you feel comfortable.!!!

Ordered the ribs but was not impressed, the membrane on the inside was not removed and there was too much fat left on them. The potato salad was very good, so was the beans and hush puppies. I would have given less stars but the service was superb. Overall, I would give 2 stars on the ribs, everything else 5 stars. ?
It gas been years since I was at Smokey Joe's but the food was excellent and service too. The price was well the price for what we got. Can't wait to go again
