We usually go Lexington BBQ but we wanted to try something different. Classic Lexington BBQ place. We tried the chopped bbq and the sliced. Both very good. You can taste the smoke. Of course while in Lexington you must try the Red Slaw. I have had better hush puppies but I would definitely go back. Service is good.
Great BBQ joint! The foot traffic alone tells you they’ve got something special going on here. We when had lunch, there was an eclectic mix of locals and out of towners.
This was the final stop on our North Carolina BBQ crawl while driving across the state and it didn't disappoint. Their serving sizes are large so depending on the amount of leftovers you want, share a plate. The bbq chicken is amazing, especially the dark meat. Of course their chopped pork is awesome, it really is some of the best we tried. Also they have a red coleslaw there, which is something I've never heard of but it's pretty great. Instead of mayo they use like a ketchup, vinegar and horseradish-type of sauce. Try it! Reasonable prices, friendly service and great food.
What a great barbecue place! Lexington is well-known for its barbecues, and Bar-B-Q Center is a perfect example of this. Since you enter, you can feel the smell of pit cooked pork and chicken. The hush puppies are phenomenal, the chicken breast with the barbecue sauce is out of this world, the pulled pork tender and tasty, and the service was A+. We didn't try the banana split, but I know it is famous.
This is my favorite among the many barbecue restaurants in Lexington. I thoroughly enjoy the food they offer, I appreciate the good service, and I feel I get a good value for the price. I also enjoy watching folks try to take on those gargantuan banana splits!
Fried okra, hush puppies, fries, burger and coleslaw were all great!! Mac and cheese wasn't baked, it was a sauce, baked beans were basic but both were still good. The giant sundae was huge and had to take home leftovers! ? Fun spot
I took the wife and mother in-law here for lunch and loved the BBQ here. Very clean dining room and bathrooms. Homey vibe to this place with very friendly waitresses. I like how they offer chopped BBQ coarse or finely chopped and sliced BBQ. We all loved the BBQ here and definitely would go back here again.
As usual, I came for lunch while on a work project. I've had plenty BBQ places in the last couple of months. I like this one for sure. The food is good, the service is good. I'm coming back again.
Very nice staff. Options for eating outside. Quick service. Amazing red slaw. Pork bbq was not very lean. Definitely whole hog cue. Could've used just a touch of smoke flavor.
I came to Lexington to sample the various BBQ. I dined at 3 locations today. Out of the 3 BBQ locations, BBQ had the BEST BBQ. BBQ Center - their portion was a bit small for being a requested large, but the BBQ & Customer Service was OUTSTANDING.
