I’ve lived in NC all my life but never had Lexington style BBQ. I was in the area with my daughter and grandkids so we decided to try this restaurant. It was a good choice. They were really busy but we only waited about 20 minutes. We were waited on promptly and the food was out pretty fast. The BBQ was great! I would definitely go back again. The food was hot and the tasted great. The waitresses were so busy, but gave us good service.
Haven't been there in years and it's the same - good food reasonably priced. We had sirloin for 2. It was cooked perfectly. I really recommend this place. You get a lot of food. Clean, good, affordable and great service.
The bbq was very good. Loved the Cole slaw and the baked beans and hush puppies and the fries! Service was fast and friendly.
The best BBQ in Lexington is right here. If BBQ isn't your thing, the menu offers plenty of other choices (steak, sandwiches, chicken, etc). All good! Many recent updates to the restaurant look great. The food and service continue to be high quality in a time that many places can't maintain their standards.
Usually the foods great but tonight I ordered a salad and fries, fries tasted hours old and the 2 girls cooking were laughing/cutting up/ playing loud videos on their phones the entire time we ate. Not sure what the videos were of but you could hear screaming from the other side of the restaurant. Not the best atmosphere, The waitresses we had were lovely.
Staff was friendly and attentive. Restaurant is well kept and clean. Brisket is not the in vogue Texas flare (16 mesh pepper, and Sea Salt), but it was well seasoned in the local flare, and well executed. Their "chopped" pork was excellent as well. It's clear that these folks know how to BBQ right, and unlike one of their other vaunted competitors who ONLY offers pork shoulders, these folks will not only tackle a whole packer brisket, but they will heap pile it on your plate. It's nice to have options on a menu.If you decide to go there, make certain you do not skip the Banana pudding.
This place does not even compare to Lexington BBQ -5 miles down the road!!!! The hush puppies are mini sugar balls. The red coleslaw has a strong bitter onion flavor. The BBQ was fine. The only thing I would come here for again would be the banana pudding!!!
Good was okay..ive had better..but the service....no coffee refill...no side of sauce like I had asked for..and the only time I saw the waitress was for the order and brought the food..still empty tables so being busy wasn't the problem..the chopped barbeque was also cold..in the future I will seek food elsewhere while in Lexington. I'm sure they're nice folks but nice doesn't get it done..service does...
Service was good, brisket was dry and under seasoned. Hush puppies was killer and coleslaw (both versions) were good. Baked beans were good but probably had a little too much ketchup. Overall, I’d come back, mostly for the hush puppies
We were told it was good place to eat so we thought we would try it. The lady came to table was nice took order the other girl brought food and then we never seen a waitress again. My husbands cup was empty my tea was too sweet to drink so I was waiting on them to come back to check on us but no one never did. Food was good but with 3 working in there waiting on tables the service shouldn’t have been that bad. I noticed several couples came to pay and had to ask for refills then as they paid. I was in the restaurant business foe 27 yea and never had service the bad anywhere.
