The food was great. Went in mid am with my kids. All booths dirty, we were told to sit at high bar. I mentioned my rib was broken but no table was cleared for us so I managed to sit on stool after a monent of struggling. The man that our waitress was SITTING with made small talk as he saw my discomfort....he PAID our tab and TIPPED waitress, as I sat next to register. , When time to check out, our waitress *since 2012 * had someone else recharge our tab and I pai my bill a second time. It's a shame that the 10$ tip the man gave her wasn't enough but that we were charged again and a tip was requested....I was happy with food, taken back by atmospheric choices. I paid, tipped 2 $ rather than my 2 cents on the situation and left. Thought I'd share my experience in case the gentleman reads reviews. I wanted to thank him for his kindness and warn him of her actions.
The waffles have been burnt and crispy lately. My husband said the eggs were bad. The grits taste burnt. This has been within the last two weeks not sure what changed. I loved it before though.Servers don’t know how to give you space while you eat.
It was a slow day on that afternoon I visited Waffle House, only two things made it remarkable. The Cook's grits and the two other customers I shared company with. I'd like to take this opportunity to thank all three of them for brightening my afternoon, it is always the little things that make a difference in our lives. Thank you, ??
This was hands down the absolute BEST dining experience I have ever had!!!! EVER! The employees Jennifer and Patty are just phenomenal!!!So great that I literally made it rain on them with the rest of the money I didn't spend at a nearby strip club that I drove 2hrs to go to.Highly recommend going to this location. These ladies made my whole month.
The food was pretty on point here. I love Waffle Houses anyway and you expect those yummy favorites to be up to par and they were. The service was good also. No complaints. Just a crazy lady at the bar, but I'm pretty sure you find one in most sit down establishments in the great states these days. Great work Waffle House Jacksonville, NC. ?
It was just ok today . Service wasn't bad but wasn't professional by any standard can really till when you enjoy your job and when a job is just a job. Or when life isn't going as well as one might like. If we are going to move on from Covid then we all have to stop blaming everything that is now wrong on it. Waffle House is always busy on the weekend but got there just in time.
Delicious good and awesome staff! Rain was my waitress a couple times and that girl is so nice and pleasant! I didn't meet a rude staff member no matter how busy they were. If I am ever in town again I will definitely return to this location!
My first time ever in a Waffle House and I loved it. Place was clean, staff was sweet and nice and our server Jennifer was amazing. Love this place and will definitely come again

*THIS PLACE IS ROACH INFESTED!!!! I found a roach crawling on my leg while I was sitting at the bar. All the server said was “maybe you should call the health department so this place can be condemned”. I’m appalled. The managers don’t care about this place, roaches crawling all over the place. Shut this place down!
