Fantastic place. Well themed. Food is delicious across the board, though some dishes are overpriced.From experience, the crab fries are better skipped based on pricing.The catfish platter is amazing, the perfect crunchy exterior.
The food was so amazing. Just like the fish fries we used to have back home. The catfish was cooked perfect and so flavorful. The boil bag was so much food!! Probably 15 muscles and 10-12 big shrimp. And the added noodles in the house sauce... perfection. It wasn't over priced either. $50 for 2 huge meals and deliciously strong cocktail. Will recommend to every person I know.
Atmosphere is nice. Food is great. Staff are awesome! Michael from the bar makes the best drinks!!!! Absolutely love this place!

First time here and our server Michael explain details in there menu with no problem. He is friendly and knows what a great visit should be. We tried the boil half pound and still a lot for 2 adults and 2 kids. Food is good, the texture and portion is good. My daughter want NY cheesecake for dessert and when she is eating it, taste lemon hint in the cheesecake, told Michael ( server ) and he is very apologetic by having a mistake that they don’t know that lemon cheesecake is available, they been serving that lemon cheesecake for months when customers order the NY Cheesecake. He change it with no problem. We will definitely come back and will try different dish on there menu.
The food was extremely delicious. It had the right amount of spice and flavor. The shrimp was huge. The potatoes were cooked just right. I love a good shrimp boil and this one did not disappoint. I'm at the one in Jacksonville, NC. Going to try the one in Charlotte, NC. Can't wait. It was so good. Everyone at our table enjoyed it - all 10 of us. Yummy ?. The atmosphere was really good as well.
My first time here so I have to give feedback. Well, the food was awesome, I had a boil with shrimp and lobster tail. The garlic sauce was salty but the food was still good. Our waitress was very slow to our table, another waitress had to go get her. When she came over she started taking our order then she asked to be excused to pick up her cell phone. She apologized but damaged already done. She must be new. She was not present like your typical waitress/waiter. Hopefully, others have a different experience. I will be back because of the food ?.
I had the lobster and scallop boil, the food was absolutely ridiculous. It was hot and fresh scallops were absolutely on point. My server Miss Jerri was a jewel. She was fantastic. If you love seafood, Hook and Reel should be your destination
Food looked and smells great. Can't say anything about the actual taste of the food because we left after 30 minutes of not getting waited on. Multiple wait staff passed our table while serving other guests including the table next to us but never even took our drink order. I don't typically make reviews, this is my first for any resturant in Onslow county and regret that it is not good. Probably not going back.
