I was pleasantly surprised by this Golden Corral. I'm here in Jacksonville for work. Was recently in yuma az and went to their GC. That place deserves 1 star. Walking into this GC I didn't have high expectations. I was wrong. Food was fresh and really good. Staff was great. Clean. Waitress was very helpful. We went around 500 pm.
Nice food I got asked frequently if I needed any thing really clean bathrooms really good place yo go,cheap and good.
So let’s talk about how amazing my first visit was!! I came in to town to visit and have not had Golden Corral in so long so I called to inquire if they still sold the bourbon chicken. The GM Dave or David I hope I got his name correct I lost my receipt where the nice waitress put his name on it! But called to inquire about a certain item I wanted and he confirmed and was super nice and courteous. I asked what time they closed which was 9 and let him know I would call back. About close to 2 hours later I go to the drive through to order and as I’m ordering he gets on the intercom as the waitress was taking my order because he remembered who I was! Now this alone took me over the top for tier customer service! Never stepped foot once in this store and only called once and he remembered me! The waitress brought my food out at the pickup parking space I wish I remembered her name also but super sweet as well. I ordered the bourbon street chicken, the jumbo shrimp and rice! Everything was hot tasted fresh and took me back to exactly how I remembered it :) I can’t wait to bring my family back to eat here!! They say first impressions are everything and they did just that! I normally don’t ever leave reviews but this one was a must!! Thank you again for your outstanding customer service!! ?
For a dinner with my wife it cost $38 dollars.We walked in and couldn’t find a clean table. Next the waitress gave us 4 empty plates which 2 of them where dirty and you could see the dried up food on the plate ( Gross ) The food was severely lacking and didn’t taste good. The meat looked and tasted like it was leftover from the day before and the cook was trying to rehydrate it.On good note the tea tasted goodWe left after we drank our tea and ate a cookie
I feel like this Golden Corral works well beyond what they need to do in order to make their customers happy. My wife and I go here maybe not regularly but from time to time and always enjoy. Notably in my opinion they may serve the best fried chicken in town and that is coming from someone who enjoys Popeyes and churches chicken immensely. Love this place and so does my wife.
They are doing great with keeping the community safe from Covid, with the bringing us plates, already wrapped silverware and etc..... I really appreciated that. The food was good and fresh!!!! Servers were sweet and attentive as well!!!!! Also, I paid for my brother, whom I thought was eating, but didn't and they refunded me for the cost of his meal!!!!!! I truly appreciated that!!!!!

3 stars only because they charged us the dinner price when it was still lunch. I had talked to the manager before hand on the phone and she said it was $9.99 because it was still lunch time. The cashier charged us 14.99 per person for dinner time. We never found out why. But our server Ida needs a raise. She was wonderful.
So I had not been here since the Pandemic but I will say it has definitely changed quite a bit since then. They now have a drive thru which offers some good fish plates I will have to try next time. I saw a bunch of good deals regarding kids night with special prices and their breakfast specials which I will have to try (photos attached). we had gotten our order to go today but I definitely could tell everything was clean and they had taken away a few stations but added others . If you have kids I would definitely check out the family to go package deals !!
