Food was good and quick. We were celebrating a birthday and the waitress was attentive. The only thing I didn't care for was the host or manager told us we could not move the kids from our cramped table to a booth behind us after the dinner rush was over. It was 9pm and we were chatting after we ate, the kids were just wanting to watch videos and hang out a bit with each other.

Every time we go, the food is perfect, the waitstaff are friendly and personable. Even when we get takeout it’s excellent and the quality and care put into the food is still there. Most places give you less food if you order takeout from them as opposed to the portion they give you when you dine in, but La Unica isn’t like that - they give you the same exact amount of great quality food whether you dine in or order takeout. Best restaurant in Huntersville, hands down. Everything I’ve tried I 100% recommend. The No Name Dinner is my personal favorite.Lovely atmosphere too - I can’t wait to come back during the summertime!

Gotta say I’ve read reviews & was really looking forward to this restaurant. We thought it was very average. Food was average, service was slightly above average, & atmosphere was average. Not sure what the hype is all about.
Food was great! SERVICE sucked! We watched our waiter come back with a pitcher of iced tea from another table and PUT IT BACK in the ice tea dispenser!!! We sat here waiting for menus for 30 mins and then when we asked for the bill we got it with food on it as seen in the pictures smh!! Server was Ubaldo
Service was very good. However, we suggest you stick with the chicken if you eat here. The burritos and tacos tasted and had texture like they were about half filler, and otherwise tasted like canned chili. The place was absolutely packed, so they must do some things really well, but only one out of four of us ordered the things they do well.
Things that are great here first:1.) Service is very friendly, on top of it and very accommodating2.) Beers are perfectly chilled and served fast3.) Beverage service is what is expected of most restaurantsNOW THE MOST IMPORTANT AND NOT UP TO STANDARD PART:1.) Food is not Mexican - what I mean is it lacks Mexican Flavors in every form. It is designed for kids who like bland food and or for people who have never had good Mexican food. I will absolutely not call it American Mexican and try to pass it under the rug therefore insulting the Mexican Cuisine in general2.) If you are looking for good Mexican food it will be beyond your disappointment3.) Skirt steak they claim and serve is not Skirt steak my best guess is it is a top round. Skirt steak has a very distinct taste and texture. As I said it is a top round marinated with meat tenderizer. So that is pretty deceiving.4.) I was trying to fathom as I write this review if I could still point my finger what flavors were in the food only to realize it will be a utter waste of time I rather stare at an empty wall
How has no one mentioned the terrible smell outside of this restaurant? We’ve only come here twice both about 7 months apart if not longer, and both times the entire outside of the restaurant/parking lot area smelled literally like raw sewage!
Delicious authentic Mexican food in a pleasant casual environment and with excellent service! When we were seated they served chips along with mild and hot "salsa". The menudo was outstanding as were the carne asada tacos. The skirt steak was juicy and well seasoned. The chicken Enchiladas en Mole were good. My preference is chicken breast and they used shredded chicken breast in the enchiladas. I only wish the rice and the beans were seasoned a bit more. We will return!
One of favorite places. The food is always great. The wait staff are always polite and knowledgeable. The mixed drinks are on point and never disappoint.
