Flavor is good but it’s mush. Dough isn’t cooked through and all the toppings leak water into the cheese like they were put on raw. You can’t even lift a slice, it just falls apart. For nearly $30 for a pie it’s disappointing. Also they only do bottled drinks which is insane. The cannolis are good though. Probably won’t go back, you can get much better pizza for half the price.
So. I have to say. After being hyped on this place. Paying 36 dollars per person. Getting three different pizzas. I'm disappointed. Only one of the pizzas was cooked perfectly. The spicy salami. The other two had a bitter burnt taste with every bite. The good thing is they nailed the marinara sauce. I like the menu options. They are different and the pistachio one I picked looked really good. I was let down though. I'm not gonna recommend this place to other people unfortunately. There are much better options around here like Brooklyn South(phenomenal marinara), Mama's pizza, and Brick house tavern, even Brixx. They are all priced around 18 to 20 dollars a pie. Versus 30 bucks a pie at Inizio.
I have had the good fortune of eating Pizza in Italy. Inizio does it right! I called Jeff, the manager, over to our table. And I told him that I am really impressed. He told us the ingredients come from Italy. We had the Raffaele. The sausage & sweet pepper just combine beautifully! You really feel like you are having a taste of Italy! They have a very decent size indoor dining area & outdoor seating is also available. The next time you are in the Birkdale area, head over to Inizio & experience this authentic Italian pizza for yourself.
I really need to order extra crispy if I go back. My pie was under cooked with burnt bits stuck to the underside of the crust. So guessing they need to clean the ovens better/more often. Lower the oven temps and cook the dough, that is my advice.
One of the best pizzas in the town. It is better than the location in downtown Charlotte. The pizza is very delicious, the portion of the pizza is large, and the price is excellent. The pizza that has mushrooms is the best. The restaurant is quite comfortable. The seating is good, and the ambiance is good. They have a great parking space, lots of parking spaces are available. The restaurant is very clean. The staff is professional. The location is just off Interstate 77, just a short drive north of the town. The area is excellent.
Completely burned- with a nice hole in it too! It’s a pizza joint that can’t make pizza! Sadly, I even tipped 20%! Do yourself a favor if you buy take out- make sure you open the box! Complete garbage!
You will not find a similar pizza in the area, it feels like the dough is made of high-quality flour and high-quality fillings. Also very fast service.
Some of the best pizza I've ever eaten, and I'm a foodie. Specialty oven makes the crust a cut above. The pistachio pizza was out of this world. I also really enjoyed the margarita and marinara pizzas. Treat yourself to something that will really hit the spot. Nice outdoor seating too. Close to Sam Furr Road. Easy to get to and I didn't mind the traffic noise.
Very good ambiance. We ordered Pistachio pizza and day special pumpkin cheese pizza. Both were good, especially pistachio pizza. Would definitely visit back to taste other specials.
The service was great ... Well all the service you get is at the cashier and the guy bringing your pizza, you in charge of the rest get your spices , napkins and all the Jazz. . I was expecting more from this place to be honest. I got the Capricciosa, and the Giardino the flavors I rate them OK nothing wow , nothing plain, just ok.and also I'm not fan of burned pizza crost.
