Generally speaking,I love Bonefish Grill. Today we were seated for about 15 minutes before anyone even came to our table to see if we wanted anything to drink. The food just wasn't good. I love their crab cakes but today they were sub par. The crab fries were decent but not as good as the first time I had them. My mother had a glass of sangria that tasted like water and my husband said his fresh margarita was weak. Our waitress was nice and we could tell she was doing her best. I think they are short on staff and it showed. This is the first restaurant I've dined in, in 2 years since the pandemic. Not the greatest return to public outings.
With my 22-year-old leaving to the UK in September to work on his Masters degree, so I look for nice places that he and I can spend some quality time together. I found on a Friday night that I could book a table within 45-minutes of the time that I wanted here at at Bonefish Grill. I have never been there before, and I was looking forward to a nice time out with my son. I ordered an appetizer of Potstickers/Dumplings with our drinks. Our first drinks were pretty good, but the appetizer was salty and mushy. It seems to me as if they were over cooked. My son ordered a Steak with Crab Cakes and I ordered a wood fire chicken dinner with upgraded, by $5, dinner salad. The dinner salad was small for a $5 upcharge. I should have just ordered the standard side. The steak looked good but the crab cake was very, very small like bite sized. We ordered a second round of drinks and I had to send mine back. It took almost 20-minutes to get the drinks then mine was one that I could not even swallow was it was very, very bad. My son tried it and he spit it out. So, our overall experience was small food portions with a large price. The drinks were 50-50 for me one good, one bad.
We ate here at the beginning of the dinner hour. There were very few customers in the restaurant at this time which was great. Our server was excellent - she was responsive and professional and friendly. Our meal was superb. We had the bang bang shrimp as our appetizer which was delicious. We were given so much that we were able to share it with the other couple dining with us. They also ordered corn chowder and a house salad. I had the salmon with double green beans. The other three people at our table all had the bonefish signature pasta with salmon. We all loved our food which was well seasoned and fresh. Even the bread was tasty with the oil and/or butter. I will now add Bonefish Grill to my list of restaurants to visit.
We ordered 4 meals. When my husband picked up the bag, it was stapled shut. When he got it home, there were 3 meals. Bummer. He called and the employee insisted she knew for sure that she put four meals in the bag. After some discussion that no, we only have 3 meals, she said okay, they would have to make a new one. My husband went back, got the fourth meal and it was room temperature. Just as if it had been sitting on a counter the whole time.Other than being cold, the quality of the food was tasty. My warning is: check your bag.
The food was excellent as it always is. Very good service. It's a little pricey but these days what isn't . Much better the Bojangles I had last week. Definitely a place to return to
This used to be a great restaurant when it opened. Has really gone down hill. When I go into a seafood restaurant and everyone orders cheeseburgers, something’s wrong. Great cheeseburger, but the seafood has a long way to go. If I want appetizers or a burger, I may go back. But not for seafood. It’s a shame. This used to be my favorite restaurant in the area. My wife and I had lunch. Salad was good, shrimp and scallops were not. Probably stay away from this one for a while.
The restaurant is nice, in a nice area and our waitress was awesome! The bang bang shrimp was really good! but the rest of our food was bland. It looked great but it taste very bland.
We’ve been here twice now and absolutely love it. It’s been a bit of a wait each time but that’s okay. Everywhere seems to be short staffed. One girl was very overwhelmed & flustered. She didn’t handle the pressure of it being busy at all. The imperial dip is excellent. I have ordered the wood fire chicken each time and it’s been amazing each time. This time I got the chicken & shrimp combo. Very good. I keep hearing the bang bang shrimp is good, so may have to try that next. Warning: pictures will make you hungry ;-)
Super delicious. This was my second visit. Can't go wrong with the dip! Yumm and the Mahi was excellent
Nice place to stop off and have a great lunch or dinner. The service was good, ambiance has a high class touch, and the staff are very friendly. Enjoyed having a good place to catch up with our visiting children after the Christmas excitement.
