We were a party of 10 on a busy Friday evening. Our wait to get in (no reservation) was a tolerable 30 minutes. Our server, noted on our receipt, was Olivia S. Keeping in mind how busy this restaurant was, she did a great job. We had a variety of entrees from salad, tacos, chicken fingers, shrimp n grits, etc. All meals were delicious. Portions were just right. Recommended as a good value for monies spent. We are local and will go back.

I’m not even sure where to begin. My friends and I ordered chicken wings, the spicy shrimp tacos and a cheeseburger. All of our meals were absolutely terrible! The chicken wings were undercooked and lacked flavor. The same went for the shrimp. It was supposed to be spicy? Not at all. How are those even supposed to be tacos. The cheeseburger was burned on the outside and undercooked on the inside. This will be our first and last time ordering food from here.Note: Pics of the wings and cheeseburger were not attached as they were thrown in the garbage.

We ordered take out. The taste and quality of the entirety of our order did not meet what you'd expect from a restaurant like this. It was nowhere near what you would expect for the price. The hamburgers were undercooked and small. The online ordering does not offer a choice of temperature for the burgers, and they were borderline medium at best. The wings were barely sauced, overcooked, and quite small. Tough and lacked much flavor. However, the sides of broccoli that accompanied our children's orders should have been thrown in the trash rather than cooked and served. The broccoli itself was spoiled. As you can see in the picture it looks less than appetizing, but the smell of it was horrible. It made us wonder about the quality and safety of the rest of the food we had. You would have saved a star or two had it not been for the broccoli. Such a shame to lose a customer and receive a bad review over something as little and simple as broccoli, but that is what happens when the food you prepare does not even meet minimum standards of what is expected.

IF I COULD GIVE 0 STARS I WOULD. First time I went here with family, horrible food. I mean BAD and Bad service. But I thought to give the place another chance..we ordered a full meal from Uber eats and the restaurant gave the driver the wrong order. Now this happens, we get it. But when we called the restaurant for an explanation, the manager Dare already knew about giving us the wrong order and didn’t care to call the driver or customer to try and remedy to situation. All the manager could say was that they had two orders with the same name and switched them.If you can’t keep track of multiple orders and use the excuse of having two orders with the same name and then provide such bad customer service then HIRE MORE COMPETENT STAFF. Oh my god. It feels like you’re IQ is dropping when you talk to them.Do yourself a favor and don’t waste your time on gross bar food, horrible service, and incapable staff.

Every time we have been here for dine in or pick up, the food has been great. The other night, our waitress, Hannah, took great care of us! We will be back again-we want to try the oysters next time!

This is a chain restaurant. It serves mostly what you would expect for a bar restaurant. The food was good, yet not creative or diverse. I had a burger and my husband had a fried grouper sandwich. Both tasty but nothing to overwhelm us. The server was efficient and helpful. The space is wide open, so the atmosphere is loud, particularly with music also playing and multiple/many TVs on at the same time.

Got a burger that was pretty good and the shrimp appetizer was on point. But, our waitress was wiping her nose on her hand a lot which was disgusting ?

We were told it would be approximately a 15 minute wait. Customers were waiting inside and right outside the front door. We could see them calling people outside the front door. So we waited right outside the door with other people. Forty five minutes later we were told that they couldn't find us. They never even called us. They then seated us in the restaurant. We waited another 10 minutes, no waitress approached us or even made eye contact with us. The host then realized no one had helped us. He apologized but did not say he would get someone to help us. We then left the restaurant. Very poorly run and obviously needs some management to oversee that customers are helped. We will not be back to this location.

This was our first time at Hickory Tavernand the food was good. Very tiny cocktails though. We had a good time with Wednesday night trivia and our team even won.

We came here two nights in a row with coworkers while in the area for training. The first night, two of my coworkers got sick from the fried grouper sandwich. I had a salad both nights and was fine. The pretzel bites were pretty good as an appetizer, my coworkers had gotten other appetizers and seemed pleased, but I didn't try them myself. They have a broad selection of beer and alcoholic drinks. The service was pretty good both nights, we had the same waitress and sat outside on the patio. I personally wouldn't go back here, since it's your typical chain restaurant.
