One of my favorite breakfast spots. Absolutely love coming here. Prices are very cheap for quality food.
GET THE WAFFLE my breakfast was honestly amazing! I’ve never eaten here before and decided to give it a try after my 12 hour shift. I had the country ham combo with a waffle, and my wife had the breakfast combo with pancakes. We also ordered a chicken tender combo so that we can try the sides as well. Our okra was honestly really great, my eggs were delicious but I especially loved the waffle. My country ham was cooked so well too. The only two things I did not like was the hash browns (no salt) and the pancakes (had a horrible rotten taste to them). I’m definitely down to eat there again and order the same meal I just had I really did enjoy it and kept me full ?❤️
Either Tex and Shirley's is a great choice. Never a bad item. Great service and friendly people. Clean and good prices. Hostess could smile more when taking us to our booth.
Service was excellent, food was good, restaurant was clean, and the bathroom was mostly clean.Waitress was very friendly and checked on us several times through our stay, the food was really good, pretty much run of the mill dinner, but you get large portions. Biggest plus here was that all of the staff I interacted with were very friendly, and the waitress checked on us several times through our meal, and checked for empty glasses quite frequently.

The best servers in the area work here. The food is always hot, fresh and just like you ordered it. Tex and Shirley’s is a Greensboro institution.
First time eating here, but always passed by it. Me and my co worker decided to try it out and it was DELICIOUS!!! Now that's how you make a old fashioned breakfast platter!! Very pleased with service despite being alil short handed they all work in a nice flowing pace. Our server Kayla was awesome to help us decide on what to eat patiently. Definitely will be back and will bring family with me.
Very good service. The greeter/host was very kind. The young man was very accommodating. Our waitress was attentive as we. The food was delicious and inexpensive. We had a great time here.
I had a bad lunch experience today. I ordered an Eggs Benidect with the side of hash browns. A coworker ordered Chicken Thighs and pancakes. It took around 40 minutes for us to get our meals. The muffin underneath the eggs tasted almost raw like dough. The hollandaise sauce on top was fake and crusty. It was almost sweet, which was nasty. I could only eat a small part of that before I gave up. The hash browns were unsalted tasted like they were fried in burnt oil. My coworker's chicken was described as "cooked yesterday". She tapped the thigh on the plate to show it was not fresh, overcooked and hard as a rock. It was pretty nasty all around. Their pancakes and waffles are apparently good. I am disappointed to say I won't come back again. Waffle House does it better for cheaper.
Amazing food I definitely recommend the Spanish omelette- my husband is a chef and he said the omelette is outstanding he never tasted anything better. Also the staff are very nice and the coffee is fresh.
