I ordered the popcorn shrimp and flounder. Very fresh and tasted wonderful. My favorite seafood. A must visit when in High Point.
All I can say is OMG! This is my go to restaurant for seafood. My dinner was so delicious! White fish, Popcorn shrimp and extra Crispy Scallops. Stop and pick up dinner one night. You will not regret it! I promise!
Rude staff just came here today June 30. Staff Initially lost my order. Then gave me a box with the wrong. name and wrong order. I was also overcharge for the sauce I want an additional tartar sauce they charge me for three sauces when I was told two came with the meal. The lady behind the counter didn’t want to hand me my card in my hand she tried to put it down on the counter while she gave the white man in front of me the card in his hand so why couldn’t I get the card in my hand just RACIST. Will never eat here again.
Thought I’d give Sanibel’s another try while visiting High Point, NC. I ordered the catfish fillet meal. Again, it wasn’t for me. Their fish actually looked like chicken fingers. The batter was soft & slippery. Thanks but no thanks.
I have been back to this restaurant due to it being closer to my home and the price of gas. Seafood was good but overpriced for the amount of food I got not to mention that if your entree included oysters there was a 2$ upcharge. So for a three item combo at $17 I got 1 piece of flounder, 1 deviled crab, and 4 oysters, baked potato and hush puppies, no drink. For this price at Coronet Seafood in Rural Hall you get 2 pieces of flounder, a deviled crab, and about 5 to 6 oysters. Also I highly recommend the seafood shack in walkertown. I do not plan to go back to Sanibel's. Thank you. Gina
Went here on a Friday night and ordered oyster stew. I thought the main ingredient in oyster stew was oysters however I was told by the waitress that in order to get oysters in my oyster stew I’d have to pay an extra two dollars. Please tell me how you make oyster stew without oysters. Two dollars for four tiny oysters in a soup is a little ridiculous don’t you think. Besides this we had a very good experience. But please somebody tell me how you can make oyster stew without oysters it’s like making prime rib without beef.
Been several time. And enjoyed everytime. Love me some fish. Large whitefish plate more than enough to fill u up
Had not been here since before the pandemic. Forgot how good it was. Had a bunch of people to feed so got multiple fried oysters, a baby flounder and a couple catfish. We put them all out and had them family style. They were all good but the oysters were enormous and tasty and the winner. The hush puppies that look like onion rings weren't great but probably don't travel well. Separate takeout entrance is something thing every restaurant should have and they are quick, efficient and the phone rings constantly. They included a huge sack of butter, sour cream, cocktail and tartar sauce. The tartar sauce is probably homemade and is excellent. The slaw got good reviews from all that had it but I did not.
I've been twice, and left disappointed, each time. -Scallops were the worst I've ever had. Very fishy, and breading was bland.- chicken strips weren't good. They came out of a box...- jumbo shrimp were pretty ok.- hush puppies were great! Best thing on my plate, by a mile.
Excellent food!!! I'd give it 5 stars, if it wasn't for the fact that I went on a Friday night, and the parking lot wasn't big enough for the number of people who were coming to get food. They're food is so delicious that if they expanded their space, they would profit SO MUCH MORE compensation.
