As per my usual SOP, I poured over the online menu for two days and today was our day! Hubs got the Bacon and Beef burger, cooked medium with cheddar, he said it was delicious, and tots. My sister and I got the Fried Green Tomato BLT with tots and fries and my Bubba Bean got the crispy Chicken Wrap with hot chips. Everything was SO good. We could’ve split the FGTBLT because it was huge! The sourdough was crisp without tearing up the roof of my mouth ergo, perfect. I need to describe the build of this sandwich because I’ve never had another one built with such care. Here’s how it was layered from bottom up: sourdough, garlic aioli, lettuce, lots of crunchy bacon, thick cut crispy fried green tomato, MORE BACON, lettuce, MORE garlic aioli then sourdough. This sandwich had so much crunchy bacon that we ate what dropped out with a fork. I dug in so fast I didn’t take a picture of the wrap but it was really stuffed with chicken. They were generous with all of our sides. the tots are super crunchy and my favorite, Deb’s fries were also crunchy and nicely salted, the hot chips were all crunch, no soggies. Hmmm, I really should mention the staff. We were greeted upon entrance by a very nice girl. They have a menu board but she also offered a large print menu to review. I requested my sourdough to be crisp and Hubs substituted the American cheese for cheddar. She rang it up without error, read it back to us to confirm and then we paid and tipped. I can’t tell you the last time a restaurant read back the order. I really appreciate that, because you aren’t left wondering about your special requests! The kitchen made everything perfectly, it was delivered to our table and we devoured it. This is the perfect place eat before after a movie at the Palladium. Thank you PorterHouse for a great start to our double date!!Health rating is a 94 and both the male and female single bathrooms were very clean.

Holly Cow!! Literally. I have had my fair share of burgers for 50 years, and PorterHouse Burger Company is right up there with the very best. First off, it is nearly impossible to get anyone to cook you a medium rare burger any more, but they got it absolutely perfect. I had the Southern Comfort burger and it was out of this world. And do not get me started on the honey butter dipping sauce for the sweet potato fries. WOW. Just wow. And beyond amazing service. Yes, this will be a staple stop for me when I come to town.
6-10-22Came here on the date above (Friday evening) at around 6:45. The joint was packed. Has minimal indoor seating and few tables outside. There were no tables available anywhere and we had to wait to find one as someone left. We swiped one within maybe 10 minutes of ordering. Of course it wasn't cleaned and we did the best we could ourselves.You order at the counter, are given a number to display, and your eats are brought to you. The menu is broad and has a several burgers, salads, sandwiches to choose from. I ordered the Grilled Cheese Burger (12.95) medium. The menu reads "American Cheese, Monterey Jack, Cheddar, grilled onions, tomatoes, grilled sourdough." The burger came out as ordered, cooked nicely and very juicy. This is a good combination of ingredients. The sourdough was buttery toasted awesomeness. My only qualm was that the beef patty was a tad too small for the bread. But still an excellent burger.I think it being packed and the volume of patrons speaks for itself. It is an excellent joint to grab a burger when there is mad competition for these. I wish this location offered more seating and had the staff to accommodate and clean tables. This hurt the experience a tad. But the few staff I interacted with were friendly and helpful.A great burger option.
Favorite burger place in the High Point/Greensboro area! They have a lot of great options, but my favorite is the Jam-Tastic. Love that tots are a side option since they are the best potato. Chips are also delicious! Staff is willing to offer suggestions and explain the menu. The manager/owner, not sure of exact position, recognizes repeat customers and is always friendly!
Besides the long wait time, and for the price you cannot beat it. Got the Half pound with pepper jack, bacon lettuce and tomatoes. Pretty damn good. Fries were done just right and the right size
They have excellent quality of food and service!! I recommend to anyone who loves an amazing burger. I ask for extra crispy/ well done fries,there was NO WAY it could have been better! (It was perfect) Soooo AMAZING all around!
Long overdue review after multiple positive experiences with this business.Their burgers taste great and the quantity of the food is unbeatable.Of course what really sells Me overall is the staff team that run the place.Working in security it's always nice to see positivity in the workplace and knowing that that staff team is looking out for not only customer service but their team as well makes them one of the best locations I've been to.
The customer service is excellent. The fish sandwich was very good. The salad was fresh and green! My hubby had a patty melt and said it was average at best and the fries were unimpressive. However, they do have a large menu so perhaps he'll find something he likes better next time. The place is very inviting and kid friendly.
Got some pretty bad food last night. I always expect my burger to be a little overcooked but not tater tots that look like this!
