Ordered at a kiosk as directed. Waited about 15 minutes and the other member of my party's order was complete and picked up at the window. I watched at the window where I noticed every order was being filled in the slowest manner possible. The teamwork was the worst I've seen and employees stood there cluelessly. I waited another 20 minutes until the group of customers who ordered well after me got their food. I asked to speak to a manager. I explained the situation and all he said was "I don't see your order." Since the kiosk doesn't give you a receipt, I pulled up my bank account app to prove my purchase went through. $14.06. I told him i just wanted a refund since it had been this long and i was just ready to leave. He required me to go through everything I ordered, the type of cheese, substitutions, etc., trying to get to the original total. 5 minutes more of typing on the screen and he comes to $12.36 and says "cash or back on card?" I took the cash, got out immediately and will never go back. No apologies for the clearly faulty equipment, slow moving service, and frustrating refund process. Absolutely terrible customer service. After my interaction with the manager, I understood better why the crew was also disorganized and unfazed. I'm disappointed because I usually really like Panera.
On Wed, 05-04-2022…my wife & I “chose” to dine at the Panera Bread, N. Main St..High Point. NC.That said, it was not only a bad choice….given Panera’s reputation & price-point, it was a TOTAL & UTTER DISAPPOINTMENT!First, upon ordering at the kiosk…our 1st choices were unavailable. They were out of a couple of sandwich options, salad dressings (tangerine soy in particular), soup, and CHIPS!Ultimately, we reset & found items available; however, when I received my Fuji Apple Salad w/chicken salad….I was informed that they “made it anyway, but out of chicken, as well as turkey”!Note: we were charged full price regardless! In addition, the dining area was trashed….used napkins, wet drink rings & food crumbs on MULTIPLE tables. It was the most disgusting “Panera” experience we’ve had to date.Panera Bread is not an inexpensive restaurant. This particular location has relegated it’s customers to “self-serve”, via kiosks, HENCE THEIR BEING ABLE TO CHARGE FULL PRICE/NO DISCOUNTS, for serving you dishes without the meat, which is the main factor in price…or chips, which is part of meal.I would highly recommend, when in High Point…choosing the Penny Road location, or make the trip to Greensboro!
Update: I am adding a star just for the fact that they went out of their way to contact me, kept in touch & made sure that I gave them a second chance. They still have some of the best cinnamon rolls for a "chain".I know that some people swear by this place, & they do have great bakery items, but personally it is just too expensive for subpar service & such small amounts of food you actually get. The last time we went, (which is 1 of 2 visits total) I ordered my sick child a cup of chicken noodle soup which was $7.00 (it was their birthday & didn't feel like going out) & it ended up being mainly broth. I wish I was exaggerating, but there was literally 1 noodle, 2 cubes of chicken & 3 carrot slices. Not to mention the size was ridiculous for the price. I could have bought a bag of Bear Creek Chicken Noodle Soup mix for ½ that price & made an entire pot. My kid was really disappointed so I returned it to show them. It was replaced(without an apology, obviously)but only after waiting 15 minutes & there wasn't a single other customer in the store. It really soured my opinion of them.
Don't order curbside or even go through the drive thru. Food was supposed to be ready at 1215. Probably checked in at 1218. Waited for ten minutes for someone to come out. Called and was directed to a busy tone. So I went to the drive thru to see if it would be quicker. Waited 15 min.... the food wasn't bad besides the Mac and cheese. It tasted like they put way too much water in the sauce. Very disappointed...
Went to drive through and tried to order the you pick 2 flatbread pizza off menu. The girl said we don’t have that on the menu. I said well I am reading right off menu. Then gets an attitude. I just drove off after her attitude. But this is not the first time when trying to order. Or you get the wrong item. An the staff looks at you like your crazy when you go back in to get order. So disappointing for such a great location and nice building. Panera with your prices I expect much better!!! Last time for me though. Hoping you had got it together by now.
This is not just the worst Panera I’ve ever been to but it’s one of the worst restaurants in general. The service at this location is non existent. My order is rarely correct. And the quality of food is inconsistent at best. I tried to reach out to management several times with no response. It is not worth your time to go here. I was so excited they were putting a Panera here but it’s honestly just made me dislike Panera in general.
The store on N. Main st. In High Point is beautiful but the service is terrible. So terrible, in fact, that you're probably better off not visiting on weekends at all.The photo at the counter says "use the kiosk" (pictured today), but the kiosk (also pictured from today) says they're out of everything. The the other photos are posted from two separate attempted visits. Both were taken at least two hours before closing. The first time I adjusted and made due. The second time (today), I just left. It's clear the staff doesn't want anyone there anyway.I've even witnessed staff members taking boxes full of Product to their cars, and later telling customers who wandered that the item they wanted was "sold out", when I knew there was a box full of that item in the associate's car. It's like a contest to see who can get the most out of their employer while doing the least amount of work possible. I'd like to see the balance sheets and compare them to the amount of product going through that store. I bet if corporate leaders cared to look, they'd find a serious leak.Meanwhile, right across town, the store on Penny Road is stocked and staffed with helpful, professional, and inspired staff members.I for one am never going to the N. Main store again. Do yourself a favor...stick to the Penny road store. At least they are glad to see you.
Good food, service just a little bit slow but I guess that comes with the good food part. But they have got to do something about their prices. I know everyone is feeling the pinch these days but for what I paid for half a sandwich and a drink I could have gone to a nearby restaurant and sat down and had a home-cooked meal for the same price
This was one of the worst dining experiences of my life. I would give them a one but I have had previous favorable experiences at Panera Bread's elsewhere. I took my wife and my grandson here for a nice evening out, after putt putt. Jaxson wanted to go here. Each one of us placed our order and all 3 of us had to repeat our order, over and over. I got the feeling that the young lady's mind was somewhere else and that she really was not paying attention to us. I left the tip up front but now, I wish I hadn't. The bill was over $60. More than $20 apiece. I knew something had to be wrong. We finished placing our order at 5:40. In about 20 minutes they called my name and I came up, to pick up my order and they told me that they did not have the squash soup that we ordered. Since none of us ordered squash soup, I told them what we did order. And they would need to refund the unordered soup. The manager told me to come to the counter. I had to wait in line again. He lectured the girl for not getting my my order right but never bothered to apologize to the customer, (me)! When they went to give me the refund, they could not use the card that I ordered with. I have no idea why... He wanted to know if I had another card to use. I told him I should not have to provide another card, than the one that I paid with. So finally, he gave me the money back for the unordered soup. There was never an apology during this time, or any type of pleasant comment to make me feel better about being overcharged. After 35 minutes of waiting, I sent my wife up there. Because I was too annoyed to be pleasant and talk to them. They finally gave her the order after we had waited 40 minutes. And the order was not correct, ... again. I sent my wife back up there, to get the missing item. It was literally 45+ minutes before we got our completed order. What made it worse from my point of view is that: This unpleasant scenario happened, while the restaurant was not busy. Again, no apology or offer to try to make up for our inconvenience. It was 6:30, before we all had our food and we're able to eat. I had taken a new Panera Bread frequent diner card, because somehow my old one was not in their system anymore. And they may purge accounts, if you haven't been in a while. I get that..... But I decided to leave the frequent diner card there and not fill it out. I will not sign up for more awful experiences like this one. I had thought about letting the dinner be a Valentine's present early, for my wife. But it would just be an unpleasant memory. That's what it is for me.
We just placed a family order. Received food promptly from delivery service but soup was left out by Panera and our sandwiches are ice cold. Very frustrating when you spend so much $70 on an order plus the family has covid and this is our first real meal in days due to being sick. So disappointed. Will never again
