Called 4 times to place order on the phone. Finally had the phone answered and placed on hold for 5+ minutes. Gave up trying to place a phone order and ordered online via Slice through Google and order was confirmed for pickup at 8:50 p.m. Upon arrival was informed Tony's doesn't take orders via Slice and had no record of the order. Guy behind the counter said it would be 35 minutes for a pizza but they were closing at 9 p.m. Not sure what the hell is going on but it seems like they don't want any orders after 8 p.m. Called Slice and they had no record of Tony's no longer accepting the orders. I love this place and their pizza. Most of the folks there have been friendly and give great customer service. Definitely off their game tonight.
Best Pizza in Hickory . The Decor is tight also all NYC stuff ! Been there, 300 times at least ! Will be back ! It changed owner's, while I was still in NC ! Pizza didn't change ! Yum.
Busy place. Good pizza, subs, salads and Stromboli. I've eat here many times. We had a bit of a wait but it was worth it.
Great pizza! Very delicious! However, I did have to wait a very long time. And the lobby wasn't super clean
We found this place on trip advisor as we were passing through Hickory on our way to Charlotte. TJ took our order and he was very friendly and attentive to the customers. All the guys were working hard here. The pizza was great and you get a big pie for the money. I highly recommend to anyone driving through.
I've been here twice and have loved it each time. I'm from out of town and will visit everytime I visit again. It's just like Boston's pizza. I love it. My Mom and brother live it too.
Friendly, clean and staff, was vibing. The menu is full of everything I can't wait to try!
If you are from Brooklyn, Queens, The Bronx, Long Island, or New Jersey, this is...hands down...the best pizza you will find in Hickory. As a recent transplant, I have been looking for that "perfect NY slice". While it's not a perfect 10, I'll give it a 9.75. Everything else in town is an 8 or below. Keep in mind that there a several places in town doing Neopolitan style wood fired pizzas, which are very good, but I am referring to an authentic NY pizza...cooked on a deck oven. Friendly staff, quick service (despite being absolutely slammed last night) eveyone managed to have a smile and looked like they were having fun making pizza!
We heard that Tony's was the same as Frankie's, in Granite Falls. So we decided to try it. First, it was not even close to Frankie's. Second, I don't think there is anything more disgusting than finding a hair in your pizza - underneath the cheese, actually "stuck" in the pizza. We won't ever be back, and not just solely based on the hair. It just wasn't that good.
Fix your outside lighting issues. That sign hasn’t been lit for 9, (yes NINE) years. Love the food, by the way! Best in Hickory!
