I wasn’t able to order online for some reason, and when I called to place a to go order, no one answered, so I decided to drive by and see if they were open. Upon arrival, they weren’t very busy so I ordered 2 salads and a sub TO GO. they never asked me what I wanted on my salad even though the lady at the register said I need to give them all the details. I had to ask if they could put banana peppers on one, and no tomatoes on both. I didn’t verify the orders bc they had already bagged them without ONE question to me about what I wanted on them. Needless to say, I didn’t get anything but lettuce, meat and cheese on either salad and the help did not seem very interested in working or caring at all. I usually enjoy their salads but I was highly disappointed today.
Friendly Staff who greet you with a welcoming smile and are eager to prepare you some of the best Submarine Sandwiches South of New Jersey. Honestly, in my opinion, much better food, service and satisfaction at the Hwy. 70 location than at the Springs Road location. Thank you Sub Station II Hwy 70, for ALWAYS treating me like I matter and you're glad to have my business.

I mean come on... This place has grandfathered itself in the Hickory area. You can't go wrong with anything they got here... Never had a bad sub from this place or salad.
Best subs ever! They put the oil and vinegar on the bread so it soaks in and doesn't leave a mess. I've been eating here for over 30 years and have never been disappointed the meatball subs are the largest I've ever seen. I love this place
SubStation II is good. A good sandwich, fresh ingredients, decent service. The restaurant has a good fan base of long-term customers.
Friendly staff, reasonable prices, good food, quick service, clean atmosphere. If in the area and looking for a goob sub and or salad, would recommend to give them a try. They have dine in, call in, and take out available. They are kid friendly with booster chairs available. They also have a free loyal program, just ask them for more details about it.
Great place to get a sandwich or salad. Lunch can be busy but the quality doesn’t suffer. Staff is polite and efficient. Don’t expect a long conversation because they keep things moving!

The staff is very friendly i have been coming here for over 30 years and it is hard to beat the #19 on sweet wheat all the way and something about the pickles they are the best
