Returned with a few colleagues from work a few weeks ago and thought this review deserved an updated. The pizza this time was excellent and had amazing flavor. Service was great once again! I'll try it again and if things continue positive I'll give 5 stars!Stopped in for lunch and sat at the bar, service was excellent. Pretzel bites were good, two slices of pizza was hot and fresh, however, I must say, at $5.00 per slice with two toppings, I will not be back. Slices were small, crust was good., but the overall taste was very bland. Sorry should have taken a picture to show the size of the slices. Very disappointed.
Our server, Caleb, was awesome. He was very attentive yet gave us our space. Had some snag ups on the wine availability, but my Berry Golden Monkey was delicious and not too sour. We ordered a veggie pizza with vegan cheese. My guy has a plant based diet. So I added pepperoni and jalapeno to my half. The one suggestion I would ask is putting the cheese on top of the other toppings. Although I know vegan cheese doesn't melt like dairy cheese, all the toppings were loose on top and made it difficult to pick up. The cheese was on the bottom, like they just added toppings to a cheese pizza. I ended up eating mine with a knife and fork while the hubby opted for the fold over method. It was still delicious and we took the rest home. I'll add some cheese to it on the reheat to make it stick together. I keep wanting to try the other yummy looking options on the menu but can never bring myself to get past the pizzas! Lol. Nice dog friendly patio. Great atmosphere. We'll definitely be back. Wonderful experience! Came in the other day for the first time last week and everything was excellent. Hayden was our server and he is beyond awesome. Recommend lots of good food and was knowledgeable about the menu. Definitely ask to sit in his section!
First visit but for the time of the day and as many customers as they had we waited too long for our food. However it was good and my granddaughter's birthday was acknowledged that what she wanted for a birthday gift was to eat at mellow mushroom! She's happy I'm happy
The elevated Cobb salad and wild Havana pizza was sooo good. The RB margarita was 10/10 and Bf had the founders breakfast stout which was amazing too. The place is understaffed so give them a chance!!

Been to this restaurant a few times and the decor is fun to look at while eating.The only complaint I have with thier Pizza is they are inconsistently made. They have been times when I eat in their pizza and it was so delicious other times just the opposite. There are food control needs to be looked at a little bit more closely.
This is a great Mellow location.They made the tempeh hero for me, even though it wasn't on the menu. I was grateful as It is my favorite thing among the Mellow offerings.Everything we ordered was very good.We shared a Greek salad at the table, and I saved the marinara sauce cup from our cheesy bread for dipping the pizza crusts.The service was excellent. Our waitress was friendly and attentive without hovering.The decor is more subdued than the Mellow Mother ship in Asheville, but still funky enough to be interesting.A good choice for dining in Hickory's crowded restaurant scene.
Overall, a terrible experience. Slow service. I'm talking 2 hours on a Sunday after 7. Just average Pizza. The TV at the bar couldn't be changed. 20-30 minute wait time to be seated even though there were open booths and table. Just overall, bad.
This afternoon the place was mostly empty. Waited to be seated for a few minutes and noticed they did not clear a lot of the tables. Most of the staff was standing around at the kitchen. Then the hoist comes from the kitchen and says it is a 15 minute wait. We passed on waiting. I could tell they didn’t seem organized. The first time we eat here the pizza was good and came out in a timely manner. The times after that the wait seemed long and the staff seems to forget about you. We had to flag them down for drink refills. Why? Because they all gather in the kitchen area.
