Will never recommend to eat at the IHOP in Hickory!!! Management and employees suck!! ???
There was hair in our food took for ever to get our food was there for 3hrs no manager cam to our table the servers was just standing around doing nothing it was 11pm and they were dead we will not go
I’m not sure what was going on today. I’d love to visit again when they are fully staffed. I simply wish they had been more transparent with their customers. There was probably 15 wait staff and 2 cooks. We waited forty minutes to be seated and were the “first” in line to be seated for about 30 minutes of our wait. When my husband went up they still told him another 45 minutes so we went ahead and left. Hopefully they get it together soon!
I would give a negative 5 star review if it was possible. Placed an order that was supposed to be ready at 10:00 AM, when we showed up the parking lot was mostly empty but the curbside was used for parking, that’s not really the restaurants fault though. Went inside and told them I was there for my order and then they couldn’t find it but then they said it would be out soon. Stood there for 40 minutes waiting on my food until I could not wait any longer because we would be late to where we needed to be. Told them I needed to cancel and get a refund and was THEN told that they didn’t have my order at all. Now we’re trying to call the number to get a refund for our order we never received and no one will answer or pick up the phone.(Update)Spoke to the manager and she was very kind and gave us a refund while letting us come back another time to eat free.
The wait was a bit long, but very understandable given the lack of staffing. Speaking of the staff, George was phenomenal!! So personable and funny, just an absolute joy to be in his presence.
Let me just say the host/server/ George is absolutely amazing! Best experience in ANY restaurant I have ever been to….there needs to be more people in this world like George! We were there a couple mornings ago, and I was truly impressed. His strong personality truly lights up that whole restaurant
We live in town and visit IHOP at least once a month for the crepes. I have tried to be patient with the shortage of staff but have grown frustrated when the food is delivered COLD or, in the case of hash browns ordered SCATTERED WELL DONE, having them barely brown. I also want coffee aplenty - especially at $2.49 a cup. Breakfast was OK, the hashbrowns unedible but... the pancakes were great. And husband enjoyed his crepes. But I was REALLY angry this week when I paid the check, I think it was $23.18, with a twenty and a ten. I had put five $1.00 bills on the table for a tip, the server took the $30 and the check. She came back and left 6 dollars on the table and laughingly said she didn't have any "jingle". She didn't round down in OUR favor, she rounded up to HER favor. She took 82 cents of MY money and I have to assume it went in HER pocket, not the register. She left the table 82 cents richer and did not return. I left 4 dollars and 12 cents richer than I would have been had she brought me back the correct change. Since when is it OK for a waitress to keep money if it is just "jingle"?
I never write reviews, but I had to this time because my waitress Kendra was SO AMAZING. I dined in by myself and she was so friendly and sweet and completely made my evening. Her service was fantastic and was really quick getting my order and checked in on me often. Next time I come in I will most definitely be requesting Kendra!!
This review is not for the server, she did well and i don’t remember her name but the experience besides that was not a good one at all. They have dirty socks and trash right outside the front doors, majority of the staff looks dirty and sloppy and unapproachable. I asked a different server for some silverware and she acted like i was an inconvenience and rolled her eyes at me. My omelette had a hair in it melted into my cheese, the kitchen staff was visible and no one was wearing hairnets. The furniture inside was falling apart. Going out to eat is more than just how good the food is and how fast you’ll get it out the kitchen, this one needs a lot of changes if they want customers to return more than once.
1st time I've been in any establishment 2 eat. Had 2 leave customer had been waiting 45min. I don't like pancakes that much..... Waffle ? it is y'all...Much love....Wooooooo. One love.
