Went in and was told a 15 minute wait. After 30 minutes we asked and no one knew what was going on. Witnessed an argument between some member of management and the hostess. Ended up leaving after 40 minutes. Was a complete cluster****.
Great food! Great service! Great atmosphere! We’ll be back!
Probably the best restaurant in hickory. No restaurant is perfect but this one is close. The staff is very kind and even when dealing with new members of the crew I've been impressed with their patience, kindness, and professionalism. They recently had a remodel and the decor is very modern and comfortable. With warm wood and medium lighting throughout it makes you feel at home. All the food I've seen is quality, and delicious. We go almost every weekend since we discovered them and even had them cater our wedding! The management, owners, bartenders, cooks, and wait staff are all excellent, kind, and caring. Your biggest problem will be finding parking because this is the place to be!
I am pretty sure this is the food they will be serving in heaven! Legit the best Ruben I've ever had in my life.The staff is phenomenal and so friendly. We really enjoyed our visit here. The overall vibe is amazing.. I believe this is my new favorite place!
Friday means the end of a week and all you want to do is have something wonderful that will bring in the weekend and summarize the end of your week. We got just that at Woods that day. The staff were so warm and welcoming and during lunch feel free to sit yourselves, pick your best seat. This day we sat at the bar and we have never been more glad that we made that choice. We had a couple drinks and in this picture it shows a drink that will later be a part of the vodka infusion bar they are creating. For lunch I had the Reuben sandwich which has always been a favorite. Let me tell you though at Woods from the bread to the meat to the saurkraut each item had that sandwich making my taste buds go crazy. The bread was perfect the pastrami was well seasoned and cooked and saurkraut was truly the "cherry on top". I had a side salad with my sandwich which was also very good but what happened next was so AWESOME and completely unexpected. My coworkers child has an extreme dairy allergy and isn't able to eat things like pizza which is one of Woods biggest menu items with their wood stove pizzas. The owner told us he also had a child with severe allergies and wanted to make us something we could take to her that was dairy free and she would enjoy. The owner literally made us a pizza with garlic aioli topping and an amazing robust tomato sauce that was out of this world. You see it pictured in my photos from lunch. It doesn't look like much but the thought he put into it and literally didn't charge us but wanted someone to enjoy something like pizza that would literally make them forget that they hadn't had any. The owner at this restaurant and his staff all went above and beyond. We felt less like customers and more like family. Seriously more than 10 stars ? for this establishment. We literally left there blown away. Big changes are coming for this spot as a new outdoor patio with games and new seating areas are on their way. Give them a little time if you see construction the wait will be WORTH IT!!!
My fiancé and I tried ordering via doordash 3/22 we ran into several issues and are very disappointed.Firstly, we ordered because it was shown as “under 30 minutes” on the app. We understand this isn’t always accurate but this fiasco lasted nearly two hours and left us without food.The restaurant gave our doordasher the wrong order to deliver so we got someone else’s food and someone got ours.I called Wood to try to resolve this issue while my fiancé headed to the store so we could hopefully still get the food we ordered. My fiancé was told by what she thought was an manager that they would resolve this and get it figured out.However, I was left on the phone with a hostess who kept telling me she was putting me on hold, but I guess she didn’t know how so I heard everything she was saying. At the beginning of the call when I was expressing my concerns because we did not get the food we ordered she told me I was wrong and asked me to repeat everything I ordered to her lol. This lady proceeded to insult me when she thought I couldn’t hear. At one point I heard her and a guy talk about what happened and how they were just going to “switch the food” I told her I didn’t want food another customer had touched and she replied after putting me on “hold” that I was stressing her out. I was on the phone for 15 minutes and on hold for more than half of the call. I even heard her ask what was possibly a manager telling her what to say and her asking if she could just say that and hang up on me. Among the unprofessionalism, the possibility of the unsanitary issue if I wouldn’t have heard them talking, and the restaurant not really taking fault for their mistake or working with us we are very disappointed.

Love the atmosphere. Waiter was very helpful and friendly. I had the truffle pizza which was amazing. We ordered the small nacho appetizer, it was a little disappointing but we loved everything else
This place has potential but they are out of whack with portions compared to price! I went here with my wife and 2 children. 3 of our 4 meals were grossly overpriced with the exception being a pizza of one my kids. My wife ordered a buffalo chicken sandwich and it was an absolutely paper thin piece of chicken. Child ordered chicken tenders and they were very small yet cost $11. And my fish tacos consisted of 3 tacos, each of which had 2-3 chunks of fish. Good flavor but not worth $16. I was still quite hungry after my meal ……. Disappointed, won’t return.
Has to be one of the best pizzas I have ever ate. The staff was wonderful. I would highly recommend eating here if you are in the area and have time.
