We used to love eating at Hannah's. However, the last several times have been less than desirable. I asked for a well done burger. When my food came, the burger was totally pink inside. When I mentioned it to the server, she was extremely rude and didn't want to help solve my problem. My Daughter ordered the quesadilla which in the past was delicious. It made her very sick after we left. The leftovers looked like play kitchen food for preschoolers the next day. I called and talked to the manager and they acted as if it was not a big deal. Definitely won't be back.
This was an unexpected surprise! My mother spoke about their hamburgers, but I was hesitant because I am particular about a good burger. I wasn't disappointed. We have now driven 30+ minutes on multiple occasions for one of these burgers. Do yourself a favor and get one!
Always loved their bbq sandwich & fries, we really love the chicken tenders, very good.
The food was great. The menu is a bit different than the Claremont location.
WE have driven through this drive through a few times over the last few years. WE dicided to go and have a sit down meal here. Ambiance will not blow you away. It was clean and serviceable but honestly nothing special. Atmosphere 3 stars. Service was prompt. Nothing special to report here but they will keep your glasses full. Service 3 stars. The food was... well, not great. We have had there burgers before and they are very good. We had a double cheesburger this trip and the Combo meal. The cheesburger is very good. The grilled meat tatste is aparent and adds to the goodness of the sandwich. The Barbecue, which is in the name so we thought that is what they would be great at was not GOOD! The combo came with ribs, pulled pork, brisket, chicken and hushpuppies and two sides for 19.99. The ribs were tasty but not done, at least not done to tenderness. The pulled pork was mush! It also did not taste as one would expect (perhaps we received the bottom of the barrel but they served it we review it!). The brisket was chewy. Obviously not done. The chicken was okay, served without barbecue sauce it was cooked properly and had a nice smokey taste. The barbecue sauce they served was vinegar based and just okay. WE did hear a patron praising the sauce on the way out the door so it all comes down to your palate on that front. However, not on the lack of cooking the meat front. No excuse there. The accompanying hush puppies were tasteless. The food rating for this place 2.7 stars. Renown and Romantic Appeal would just be 3 stars. We would give Value a rating of 2 stars. Overall we would rate this place 2.8 stars which rounds up to 3 stars. This is a good place to drive through and get a burger. The wait time can be a little long in a drive through but you will get a fresh off the grill burger. The rest we would just recommend skipping.
Excellent customer service and great ribs, one night somehow my order didn't come through when I called it in but anyway when I got there they didn't have my order or my ribs, the owner was so apologetic and sincere he offered me my choice of anything on the menu at his cost, and I got something and left happy that he did what he could, about a month later I went back and placed an order for pick up when I came through I got my order and all of a sudden the owner looked out and saw me and said please wait one minute so I did he came back to the window and said I remember you, it was ribs right I said yes and he gave me 8 bones of ribs no charge! He will always receive my business! Excellent customer service
Goid, but not great. We had the special for New Year's Day. Will stick to BBQ from now on. Excellent service.
The food was cool, onion rings cool not hot. Very disappointing.
I'm in North Carolina, wanted some Carolina BBQ, I sure got it. This restaurant is hidden in a very small strip shopping center, the center has a Food Lion market, a nail salon, & Hannah's. You walk in, nothing to look at, waitress takes you to your table, gets drink order. No straws, happy about that. Recyclable cups too! Took my dinner order when she brought my drink. I ordered brisket slices, came with two sides, I opted for French fries & green beans. The dinner also comes with 4 hush puppies. The only negative I can think of is that, as far as I know, hush puppies are supposed to be made with corn flour, these were white, corn flour is yellow. Anyway, dinner comes, I look and think, this isn't very much, I started eating. Here I sit 3 hours later, stuffed. I almost couldn't pick up the brisket, it was that tender, covered with a small amount of a smoky sauce. DELICIOUS. The dinner + tip was a shade over 20 dollars, very much worth it. If I ever return to Hickory, NC, this will be a stop.
Had a delicious meal and a warm welcome into the restaurant. Ended up getting the chicken tenders and was extremely happy with the portion size as well as the sides. Ended up getting Mac'N'Cheese as well as some fried okra. Gotta say, the fried okra is probably the best i've had in the Hickory area. Highly reccommend! Can't wait to go again!
