The driver was great, no complaints there. My complaint is the food. I loved Dickey's and ordered the Pit Dip sandwich because I love their riff on a French Dip.What I received was a large bun with 3 pieces of meat (and a small tip), 4 pieces of onion, and absolutely no cheese at all .That is not worth the $17 even with the 2 sides. On the positive side GrubHub did credit me for the sandwich, but that doesn't make up for the disappointment in the meal.
I got the 1 Meat Plate with two sides. My husband got a 1 Meat Plate with two sides as well. Both of our meat's we're room temperature and felt like they were a day old. My two sides were Waffle Fries and Baked Potato Casserole. Which the Waffle Fries weren't even room temp. They were dry and slightly cold. The only thing that was hot was the Baked Potato Casserole. And it tasted weird. I had to drink a lot of Dr. Pepper in order to get the meat to go down my throat. My husband had the same problems as me. We will Not be recommending this place to anyone. The first time we went to that place, it was good. It was sometime last year. But now, the food has gone down, and the prices are really high. If the prices are going to be that high, the food can at least be hot and better tasting. My husband's two sides were Waffle Fries and Mac and Cheese. Neither of those were warm either.
Was here a couple weeks ago. My husband and I both got the brisket and it was awesome. I have never really liked brisket cause always seemed dry and tasteless but this was THE BEST. The staff was very friendly and efficient. I would say the lobby needs a deep clean, floors, tables and chairs etc. But will be back!!
I give this place a 3 ? because the chicken wings I order was as hard and dry it even didn't have the smoked taste to it u call tell that who ever cooked the wings just drop them n the fryer and call it the DAY !! I was very dissatisfied with the quality of the wings and taste. only things that was tasty was the fried okra and little to heavy on the salt .I spent 28$ 4 dinner and got a big let down. I could took my business to Sonny's bbq and got better quality and smoked taste of the food I brought here. I came here because a friend told me about this place take outtime was about 5:30 on 2-7 22
I love this place. I think it gets overlooked in Hickory because it is right next to a really popular steakhouse. The food at Dickey's is great. Try the burnt ends. Sides are tasty and portions are generous. It is a little pricey (think restaurant rather than fast food) but the quality is top notch.
Used to be such a good place but has gone down hill recently! The food is fantastic, the staff is not. Tonight was the last straw for us. Placed an order with them, was told something wasn't available, so we picked something they said was available. After arriving to pick up the order we were told they did not have our food ready and would not be filling the order. I will not be giving any more of my business to this establishment.
The best as BBQ I've had in a long time! You catered our company luncheon and the food arrived on time, hot and in abundance. It was awesome!
Friendly staff, quick service, really good food, pricey. Would definitely recommend.
Where has this place been all my life. It's going on my monthly restaurant rotation. Probably one of the best meals I've ever had. Large portions, I shared the competition plate with my girl and we both were stuffed.
The food is always delicious and the service is even better! We feel like we’re at home when we walk in. The staff here is incredible!!!
